Abstract: A hanging ornament kit including a generally transparent container comprising first and second components, each component having an interior surface and an opening at one side, and decorating material for decorating the interior surface of each component. The first component is detachably connected to the second component by a coupling on the periphery of at least one of the first and second component openings.
Abstract: Aerial characteristics in a wakeboard performance are improved with a vessel having a skeletal frame including starboard and port rigid vertical support structures fitted to opposing sides of the vessel with a horizontal bridging portion extending between the structures for attaching a tow rope. Further, ballast tanks are fitted onboard and only aft amidships of the vessel, at or above the waterline. The ballast tanks are filled with water during movement of the vessel using a water scoop which extracts water from the body of water upon which the vessel operates and forces the water into the ballast tanks during movement of the vessel through the body of water, weighting down the stern, thus lowering the vessel into the body of water and affecting the wake created by the vessel. By controlling the amount of water carried by the tanks, a desirable wake is formed for use by the performer. The weighting is controlled by controlling air venting to the ballast tanks.
Abstract: Apparatus for and method of improving mixing of a plural component putty-like material is disclosed. The invention includes an applicator having a plurality of first component channels for flowing a first, highly viscous component, and a central channel communicating with a plurality of transverse channels for flowing a second, lower viscous component into conjoined flow paths with the first component.
Abstract: A method for six-sided painting of parts, such as boards, the parts having a top, bottom, sides, and ends, in a vacuum painting system having a feed conveyor, a vacuum painting chamber, and a take-out conveyor wherein the a first part is placed end-to-end with a second part on the feed conveyor, each part having a leading end and a trailing end, and the first part and second part enter the vacuum painting chamber end-to-end, the parts exiting the vacuum painting chamber onto the take-out conveyor end-to-end with the leading end of each part exiting the vacuum painting chamber first, consisting of the steps of:(a) sensing the presence of the leading end of the first part along the take-out conveyor while the trailing end of the first part is within the vacuum painting chamber;(b) moving a movable carriage along the take-out conveyor toward the vacuum painting chamber to a position intermediate the leading end and trailing end of the first part;(c) moving the movable carriage a short distance along the take-out
Abstract: The aerial performance characteristics of a performer using a water sport implement such as a wakeboard, and being towed by a vessel while maintaining stability of the vessel includes a first relatively rigid vertical support fitted to one side of the, a second relatively rigid vertical support fitted structure to an opposing side, and a horizontal bridging portion extending between upper extremities of the first and second vertically extending supports, at a height substantially above a level of the operator station for the vessel. A tow rope is attached to the horizontally extending bridging portion for towing the performer from the horizontally extending bridging portion while operating the vessel in a body of water. By pivotally attaching the first and second supports to the respective sides of the vessel, they can be rotated downwardly so that the vessel may pass underneath a bridge or into a boat house.
Abstract: A place keeper, for use with a straight edge for designating a row on a cross-stitch pattern, is slidable along the straight edge so the straight edge designates a row, and the place keeper designates a column. Two or more place keepers can be used to designate a group of columns, with one place keeper on each side of the columns to be designated. The straight edge is preferably a line magnifier having magnets at each end to hold the magnifier to a magnet board. The magnets may space the magnifier from the magnet board to allow the place keepers to slide without interference from the surface on which the magnifier is resting.
Abstract: A reversible pillowcase which is formed by folding a single piece of fabric into substantially three equal portions. The portions are attached together along two sides, thus forming first and second pockets with openings at opposite ends. Inverting the first pocket forms a pillowcase by exposing one decorative surface of the fabric and hiding the stitching used to attach the portions. Inverting the second pocket exposes a second decorative surface while also hiding the stitching. Thus a reversible pillowcase can be converted between two different decorative appearances while also hiding the unsightly stitching used in manufacturing the article.
Abstract: An elongated strip of connected picture hangers adapted to be coiled around a feeding reel and fed into an assembly machine for further processing and for automatic attachment of the picture hangers to the backing of picture frames, each hanger comprising substantially planar metallic body portion having a living hinge extending thereacross for allowing the hanger to be accepted by the assembly machine. A portion of the body of the hanger is cut out for receiving support means from the desired hanging location. A reinforcement rib extends along the top edge of the hanger for strengthening the picture hanger for larger and heavier type picture frames. A pair of dimpled protrusions automatically bias the picture hanger away from the picture frame backing for easier attachment of the picture hanger to the display support means. The arrangement of the above features provides for spacing means which allows for proper stacking of the picture hangers around the feeding reel.
