Abstract: A molding apparatus includes a bottom platen, a bottom mold portion carried by the bottom platen, and a top platen overlying the bottom platen and the bottom mold portion. The top platen includes slots extending therethrough for receiving a molding material. The molding material is to be gravity deposited into the bottom mold portion. A top mold portion is carried by the top platen and is moveable between a molding material loading position and an article forming position. An actuator is coupled to the top mold portion for moving the top mold portion between the molding material loading position and the article forming position. The molding material loading position corresponds to when the top mold portion is non-overlying the bottom mold portion so that the molding material can be gravity deposited therein. The article forming position corresponds to when the top mold portion is overlying the bottom mold portion for molding an article.
Abstract: The present invention relates to a pharmaceutical composition with broad-spectrum of activity against class A, class C and D enzymes comprising an antibiotic and a pharmaceutically effective amount of a compound of Formula (I), compounds of Formula (I), the use of a therapeutically effective amount of one or more compounds of Formula (I) as a broad-spectrum beta-lactamase inhibitor and the use of such a pharmaceutical composition for the treatment of an infection in humans or animals caused by bacteria.

Abstract: A dry formulation or granulation of eprosartan mesylate is described which comprises eprosartan mesylate in particulate form with a particle size, wherein at least 65 v/v % eprosartan mesylate particles fall in a particle size range of from 2 to 27 ?m. In another aspect, a dry formulation or granulation of eprosartan mesylate comprises eprosartan mesylate combined with an excipient which at least comprises a PEG having molecular weight in the range of 400 to 20000 and mannitol. Further described is a single dosage pharmaceutical formulation such as tablet obtained from such a dry formulation or granulation of eprosartan mesylate by direct compression or dry granulation. A dry formulation or granulation of eprosartan mesylate, or a process for the preparation thereof is also described, which comprising eprosartan mesylate in particulate form mixed with one or more excipients or additives in a way that a limited water activity is obtained.

Abstract: A method of sealing and strengthening the joints in an asphalt road surface and subsurface to prolong the useful life of the road utilizes a polymer modified cationic maltene emulsion containing polymer modified maltene oils and resins, and surfactants/and wetting agents. The emulsion is applied to the longitudinal joints and other joints in the asphalt pavement surface. The emulsion reduces voids in the asphalt pavement and chemically improves the asphalt binder properties, thereby altering the modulus of elasticity of the asphalt binders so that the resistance of the pavement to tension is increased, and the water absorption of the pavement is reduced.
Abstract: A blade driving mechanism for a table saw, wherein the table saw comprises a main frame and a saw blade mounted to an driven by the blade driving mechanism, and the blade driving mechanism comprises an electrical motor mounted to the main frame, with the motor being capable of sliding with respect to the main frame; a belt driving system for transferring the rotation of an output shaft of the motor to the saw blade; a center-distance setting device connected between the motor and the saw blade, for adjustably setting the center-to-center distance between the motor and the saw blade; and a saw-blade height adjusting device being operable to adjust the height of the saw blade.
Abstract: Disclosed are glass-ceramics having predominantly Spinel-group crystal phases and methods of making the glass-ceramics. Disclosed are glass-ceramics harder than 10 GPa (Vickers) and methods of making the glass-ceramic. Disclosed are articles of manufacture made of the glass-ceramics. Disclosed is the use of the glass-ceramics in armor and related applications.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a cabergoline crystal form L, its preparation from halogenated aromatic solvents and aliphatic hydrocarbons and to pharmaceutical compositions containing the new form.
Abstract: A magnetic latch for a gate has first and second units for mounting on a gate and a gate post respectively. The first unit has a displaceable latch element displaceably mounted in a support in a housing and biased to a retracted position, and a second unit with a complementary engagement structure with which a latching portion of the latch element is adapted to engage when the magnetic latch is in a latching position and the latch element is displaced to a projecting position. A magnetic attracting arrangement is provided to cause the latch element to move to the projecting position and engage in the engagement structure when the magnetic latch is in the latching position, and then the engagement structure prevents movement of the door or gate away from the closed position.
Abstract: A toggle latch for a gate has a first unit mounting a pivotal latch arm and adapted to be mounted on the gate and a second unit providing a receiving and latching cavity and adapted to be mounted on a gate post, the body portion of the second unit having a forward nose to provide a ramp to deflect upwardly and over the nose the latch arm when impacting thereon and an interior retaining surface defined in the body and having upper and rear surfaces of the cavity to deflect down into the cavity the latch arm after it has ridden up over the nose.
Abstract: Class IV caramel color with reduced 4-MeI content is formed by combining carbohydrate with ammonium bisulfite and acid in an amount effective to establish a pH of less than 5. This is heated in a closed reactor vessel and heated to a temperature and for a time effective to provide the desired intensity caramel color. A base is injected into the closed reaction vessel during heating to control the caramelization reaction.
Abstract: A telesurveillance system of objects whose presence is monitored remotely by a computerised control station over a computer network. At least one master central station has a unique identifier connected to the network, at least one detector having statuses in relation to the presence or not of an object, the control station being informed of the changes in status via the network, and the user may have a personal identification elements readable by a reader of the master central station, the letter including elements to wait, in a surveillance state, for the changes in status and reading the identification element, to switch to a state of alert to a change in status and to switch to a neutralised state during a determined neutralisation time by reading the personal identification element.
