Abstract: A device for cleaning a camera lens (6), by means of a cleaning head, comprises a fixed cleaning head and a camera that is made mobile by means of drive means (10), the head being accommodated in a structural element (2) of the vehicle. The drive means are suitable for generating a relative movement of the camera in relation to the cleaning head, between a passive image capture position in which the camera is disposed accommodated in said structural element of the vehicle facing the cleaning head, and an active position in which the camera is deployed at a distance from the structural element of the vehicle to allow image capture. The device is particularly effective when applied to the cleaning of a reversing camera implanted in motor vehicles.
Abstract: Water contaminated with antibiotics, pharmaceuticals, microorganisms and other organic material stripped of these contaminating products with a specialized gas sparged hydrocyclone apparatus using an ozone containing gas as the stripping gas. The stripping gas contains 50-98 volume percent ozone, and the contaminated water is exposed to UV light prior to introduction into the sparger.

Abstract: A wireless mesh network may have a plurality of nodes, each of which is able to dynamically establish itself as a gateway when a connection with an end-user device is detected. To route data to an end-user device, each node that is not, itself, a gateway to that device may route traffic along a path to the appropriate gateway. If a node does not have such a path in memory, it may broadcast an inquiry to all nodes with which communicates directly, to determine whether any of those nodes are a gateway to the end-user device, or have a path to the end-user device in memory. Thus, paths to gateways may propagate among the nodes. If multiple paths are available, a node may select the path that provides the best data transmission. Each node may replace pathways that are no longer valid, allowing the network to repair itself if needed.
Abstract: Disclosed is a method for calculating a control setpoint of a hybrid powertrain of a motor vehicle, the hybrid powertrain including an electric motor and an internal combustion engine (ICE) that is equipped with a gearbox and that is supplied with fuel. The method includes: acquiring a value relative to a power requested at the vehicle's drive wheels; and determining the contribution of the electric motor and the ICE in order to satisfy the request for power at the drive wheels. The determination step involves calculating a triplet of three values, one value relating to the electromechanical power that the electric motor must provide, one value relating to the thermomechanical power that the ICE must provide and one value relating to the ratio that needs to be engaged in the gearbox, this triplet minimising the fuel consumption of the ICE and the current consumption of the electric motor.

Abstract: A safety needle having a rigid outer structure within which there is a cannula holding element of being movably coupled to an injector pen for a drug is provided. The cannula holding element supports a cannula having a first extremity and a second extremity for administration of the drug. A moving protective element associated with the rigid structure, covers the second extremity of the cannula after administration, with provision being made for a deforming member capable of deforming the cannula after administration of the drug so that the second extremity of the cannula remains within the protective element. Abstract: Degeneracy in analog processor (e.g., quantum processor) operation is mitigated via use of floppy qubits or domains of floppy qubits (i.e., qubit(s) for which the state can be flipped with no change in energy), which can significantly boost hardware performance on certain problems, as well as improve hardware performance for more general problem sets. Samples are drawn from an analog processor, and devices comprising the analog processor evaluated for floppiness. A normalized floppiness metric is calculated, and an offset added to advance the device in annealing. Degeneracy in a hybrid computing system that comprises a quantum processor is mitigated by determining a magnetic susceptibility of a qubit, and tuning a tunneling rate for the qubit based on a tunneling rate offset determined based on the magnetic susceptibility. Quantum annealing evolution is controlled by causing the evolution to pause for a determined pause duration.

Abstract: Machine learning-based approaches are used to create instances or visualizations of content appearing within an object in an image. For example, a user may submit a request for a preview or visualization of content within an object or other media such as a glass crystal. A trained model can process the content to generate adjustment data or other data that can be used to control image blending operations. The adjustment data can be applied to the pixel values of the content to modify the content in order to enable a visualization of the content within an object. The image portion can be modified such that the object appears to “blend” with and appear within the object. Image transformation techniques can be used to project the modified content onto a representation of an object. Thereafter, a visualization or preview of the content within the representation of the object can be presented.
