Abstract: A sensor platform being installed on a vehicle traveling on a road or a sports training device, the sensor platform including, a sensor unit configured by an acceleration sensor for capturing environmental data transmitted from an object to be surveyed, a data selector/variable filter for selecting necessary data or limiting data frequency of the environmental data transmitted from the sensor unit, a sound sensor for capturing sound signals from the object to be surveyed, and a processing unit for running computer programs including algorithms for controlling the sensor unit and the data selector/variable filter, processing output data from the data selector/variable filter and the sound sensor, and setting a threshold level, wherein the processing unit processes the output data from data selector/variable filter when the sound signal level is more than the threshold level.
Abstract: The side wall, extending below a shoulder of the thermoplastic bottle, has a gripping portion formed substantially in the middle of the bottle body and includes a first line and a second line each defined in a vertical symmetry plane. The second line has a second point at minimal distance ds2 between the side wall and the central axis, while the first line has a first point at minimal distance dsl between the first line and the central axis. For these particular points in the gripping portion: ·ds2<ds1·hs1<hs2 A thick portion is provided at and above the second point.

Abstract: Adaptions and improvements to coaxial metal powder filters include distributing a dissipative matrix mixture comprising superconductive material, metal powder, epoxy, and/or magnetic material within a volume defined by an outer tubular conductor and inner conductor. The frequency response of the filter may be tuned by exploiting the energy gap frequency of superconductive material in the dissipative matrix. The inner surface of the outer tubular conductor may be covered with a superconductive material. For a dissipative matrix comprising magnetic material or superconductive powder particles of a certain size, an external magnetic field can be applied to tune the frequency response of the filter.

Abstract: A hinge mechanism comprising first and second members rotatable relative to one another about a hinge axis from a first to a second position; and a biasing arrangement operative to adopt an active mode to bias the first and second members into at least one relative position and operative to adopt an inactive mode where the biasing arrangement does not provide bias to the first or second members to undergo relative rotation, wherein the biasing arrangement remains in the inactive mode on relative rotation of the first and second members through a first selected angular displacement between the first position and the second position, and is in the active mode on relative rotation of the first and second members through a second selected angular displacement between the first position and the second position.
Abstract: Packaging for a food product has a box made from cardboard material with a base and a lid. The lid is fitted pivoting around a hinge fixed to the base. An electrically conducting foil is installed so as to separate the food product and the base. The lid is cut by a cutting line extending to define a central area and a peripheral area each arranged pivotally with respect to the base. The central area is inscribed inside the peripheral area. The central area is facing the electrically conducting foil and extends partly in a front side panel of the lid opposite the side panel supporting the hinge.

Abstract: Neuromodulation devices and methods of their use are described in which a therapeutic device is configured to generate a treatment for treating pain such as the reduction of the symptoms of chronic and acute pain as well as for treating other conditions. The neuromodulation device generates an output electrical signal in the form of pulses with a fast rise-time spike waveform followed by a longer-duration, lower amplitude primary phase waveform. The output signal includes a broad range of frequency components, with time constants tuned so as to interact with specific cell membrane or cellular components. The output signal may be conducted to the patient via electrodes. The pulses are triggered at variable intervals which prevent habituation.

Abstract: A hologram display system is disclosed. An example system includes a hologram apparatus including a sheet folded along preformed creases into a frustum structure configured to be actuated between a compressed state and an uncompressed state. The frustum structure has a base section and a top section connected by four side sections. The system also includes instructions stored in a memory of a consumer device, which when executed, cause a processor of the consumer device to display, on a screen of the consumer device, holographic interactive content that is related to the hologram apparatus, detect interaction with at least one of the holographic interactive content or the hologram apparatus after the hologram apparatus is placed on the screen of the consumer device, and change the display of at least a portion of the holographic interactive content based on the detected interaction.
Abstract: An adjustment mechanism for a motor vehicle seat includes first and second sensors, which are mounted on a first component of the adjustment mechanism, and protuberances provided on the second component of the adjustment mechanism. The first and second sensors are mounted facing the protuberances, with the sensors being positioned so that there is a phase difference between the signals detected by the two sensors. The mechanism includes an electronic control unit that determines a direction of movement of the components, based on the detected phase difference.

Abstract: Example embodiments relate to selective deposition for interdigitated patterns in solar cells. One embodiment includes a method for creating an interdigitated pattern for a solar cell. The method includes providing a substrate of the solar cell. A surface of the substrate includes one or more exposed regions and one or more regions covered by a patterned first passivation layer stack protected by a hard mask. The method also includes selectively depositing a second passivation layer stack that includes at least a first layer of amorphous silicon (a-Si) on the one or more exposed regions such that the first passivation layer stack and the second passivation layer stack form the interdigitated pattern. Selectively depositing the second passivation layer stack includes adding a sublayer of the first layer on the hard mask, etching the added sublayer on the hard mask, and cleaning a surface of the remaining added sublayer.

Abstract: In a quantum processor some couplers couple a given qubit to a nearest neighbor qubit (e.g., vertically and horizontally in an ordered 2D array), other couplers couple to next-nearest neighbor qubits (e.g., diagonally in the ordered 2D array). Couplers may include half-couplers, to selectively provide communicative coupling between a given qubit and other qubits, which may or may not be nearest or even next-nearest-neighbors. Tunable couplers selective mediate communicative coupling. A control system may impose a connectivity on a quantum processor, different than an “as designed” or “as manufactured” physical connectivity. Imposition may be via a digital processor processing a working or updated working graph, to map or embed a problem graph. A set of exclude qubits may be created from a comparison of hardware and working graphs. An annealing schedule may adjust a respective normalized inductance of one or more qubits, for instance to exclude certain qubits.
