Abstract: A latch assembly comprising: a latch operable to adopt a latched condition and an unlatched condition; a magnet imparting a magnetic field; a sensor adapted to sense the magnetic field; the latch, magnet and sensor being configured such that a change in the condition of the latch effects a variance in the magnetic field sensed by the sensor to distinguish between the latched condition and the unlatched condition, wherein the latch includes a latch member that is moveable relative to both the sensor and the magnet when the latch changes from the unlatched condition to the latched condition and the proximity of the latch member to the magnet changes the strength of the magnetic field sensed by the sensor.
Abstract: The present invention discloses a novel composition of the elution mobile phase for virus purification by immunoaffinity chromatography which is consisting of one or more amino acids: L-serine, L-asparagine, or L-glutamine, or their salts with pharmaceutically acceptable acids; one or more auxiliary ingredients: L-arginine, glycine or imidazole, or their salts with pharmaceutically acceptable acids; one or more pharmaceutically acceptable pH adjusting agents for correcting the pH value of the mobile phase from pH=6.0-8.0; and purified water, up to 100% w/w of the mobile phase composition. The invention provides the use of immunoaffinity chromatography as a key step in the production of viral vaccines and/or viral vectors, in separation of infectious from non-infectious viral particles, and for enrichment of the viral suspension in infectious viral particles.

Abstract: A single automated accounting and business analysis system is employed to acquire, organize, record, analyze and plan all the relevant financial and non-financial metrics utilized by an individual or group. This includes all the internally generated metrics and external metrics such as data related to the economy, a particular industry, weather conditions, etc. The system employs heuristics to learn from previous associations and links data based on previous associations.
Abstract: Computational systems implement problem solving using hybrid digital/quantum computing approaches. A problem may be represented as a problem graph which is larger and/or has higher connectivity than a working and/or hardware graph of a quantum processor. A quantum processor may be used determine approximate solutions, which solutions are provided as initial states to one or more digital processors which may implement classical post-processing to generate improved solutions. Techniques for solving problems on extended, more-connected, and/or “virtual full yield” variations of the processor's actual working and/or hardware graphs are provided. A method of operation in a computational system comprising a quantum processor includes partitioning a problem graph into sub-problem graphs, and embedding a sub-problem graph onto the working graph of the quantum processor. The quantum processor and a non-quantum processor-based device generate partial samples.

Abstract: The disclosure relates to a draining structure of a washing machine and a draining method. An inner drum is installed in a housing of the washing machine. The inner drum is a tapered drum with a smaller diameter at one end and a larger diameter at the other end. A draining flow passage is arranged at the larger diameter end. One end of the draining flow passage communicates with the larger diameter end. The other end of the draining flow passage penetrates the inner drum and communicates with a drain pipe. The inner drum rotates and washing water flows to the larger diameter end along the tapered inner wall by centrifugal force. Washing water is drained out from the inner drum through the draining flow passage arranged at the larger diameter end and then drained out through the drain pipe to realize the discharge of washing water.

Abstract: The application relates to a cleaning system configured for cleaning of cavities filled with a liquid, including fragmentation, debridement, material removal, irrigation, disinfection, and decontamination. The cleaning system includes an electromagnetic radiation system and a liquid. A treatment handpiece irradiates the liquid within a cavity with a radiation beam, producing a first vapor bubble using first pulse, and, at a different location, a second vapor bubble using a second pulse. The pulse repetition time is adjusted to ensure efficacy, for example such that an onset time of the second vapor bubble is within the first contraction phase of the first vapor bubble, when the first vapor bubble has contracted from its maximal volume to a size in a range from about 0.7 to about 0.1 of the maximal volume.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a time-multiplexed stereoscopic 3d projection system that provides a higher level of on-screen image-brightness and image quality as compared to other prior-art technologies based on a single-beam architecture. The invention is based on the insight that a polarization beam-splitting element can be arranged to split an incident image-beam generated by a projector into one transmitted image-beam and at least one reflected image-beam, wherein each of said transmitted and reflected image-beams possess the same common state of polarization. Furthermore, by utilization of at least one reflecting surface, polarization rotator, polarization modulator, polarization-preserving projection-screen and passive polarized viewing-glasses, a stereoscopic 3d projection system is disclosed that provides for a high level of on-screen image-brightness and image quality.
