    Abstract: The assembly for purification of exhaust gases comprises an upstream conduit and a downstream conduit positioned parallel to each other. A space has an exhaust gas inlet communicating with the upstream conduit and an exhaust gas outlet communicating with the downstream conduit. A middle line divides the inlet into first and second areas providing a same passage section to the exhaust gases. The assembly comprises a baffle covering at least 75% of the first area and covering less than 25% of the second area. The baffle and the space are laid out so that a portion of the exhaust gases penetrate through the first area of the inlet flows into the space along flow lines forming a cusp around the baffle.

    Abstract: According to a thermomechanical treatment process for a titanium alloy including between 23 and 27% niobium in atomic proportion, between 0 and 10% zirconium, and between 0 and 1% oxygen, nitrogen and/or silicon, the following steps are performed: a) an increase of a sample of the alloy to a temperature higher than 900° C., b) a fast quench, c) a severe cold strain, d) an ageing treatment at a temperature included between 200 and 600° C., the time of the ageing treatment being included between 10 seconds and 10 minutes. Alloy obtained by this process and prostheses made from such an alloy.

    Abstract: A method and system for detecting and classifying defects in a paved surface is disclosed. A sequence of images of the paved surface is obtained from at least one imaging device that can be mounted on a vehicle. The images are used to form a three-dimensional reconstruction. A machine learning process is used to train the system to recognize different kinds of defects and defect-free surfaces. Performing a pixel-by-pixel comparison of the images obtained for a particular paved surface with a database of images of surfaces with known defects provides a determination of the locations of defects in that paved surface. The system and method disclosed herein do not require the use of artificial lighting and are unaffected by transient changes in ambient light.
