Abstract: An end cap for a wiper of a window of a vehicle having at least one flexible supporting element and a blade design to be applied against the window is disclosed. The end cap includes a housing for receiving an end portion of the flexible supporting element. The end cap also has at least one means for locking the end portion of the flexible supporting element in an engaged position in the housing, and an outer wall delimiting the cap as well as an access orifice to the locking means, the locking means including a portion forming a longitudinal stop facing the flexible supporting element, a first face extending between the housing and the outer wall and a second face opposite the orifice. The locking means include an element that emerges at the junction between the first face and the portion and that extends at least longitudinally beyond the portion.

Abstract: A method is provided for forming an unsupported MoS2 layer in an aqueous medium, the method comprising the steps of: providing an assembly of a Mo oxide layer on a Si substrate; annealing said assembly in presence of H2S at a temperature sufficient for forming a MoS2 layer; and contacting the annealed assembly with an aqueous medium. This unsupported MoS2 layer can then be transferred by dip-coating to another substrate such as a dielectric substrate.

Abstract: Systems and methods that employ interactions between quantum computing systems and digital computing systems are described. For an iterative method, a quantum computing system may be designed, operated, and/or adapted to provide a rate of convergence that is greater than the rate of convergence of a digital supercomputer. When the digital supercomputer is iteratively used to evaluate an objective function at a cost incurred of C per iteration, the quantum computing system may be used to provide the input parameter(s) to the objective function and quickly converge on the input parameter(s) that optimize the objective function. Thus, a quantum computing system may be used to minimize the total cost incurred CT for consumption of digital supercomputer resources when a digital supercomputer is iteratively employed to evaluate an objective function.

Abstract: A dental cutting system and method for cutting a patient's tooth includes a hand piece to be held and carrying a cutting burr to cut the patient's tooth. A plurality of guide pins is attached to and extends from the hand piece of the cutting tool remote from the cutting bur. One or more cutting guides each have a cavity coinciding with at least a portion of teeth inside a patient's mouth that are adjacent to or remote from the patient's tooth to be cut. The guide pins of the handpiece slide in slots in the cutting guide to guide the cutting burr to cut the patient's tooth.

Abstract: A draw extending archery system enables a user to draw a draw string multiple times to store energy. Embodiments of the system include a transmission that operatively engages the draw string and a flexible limb. From an initial rest position, the user initiates a charging stroke on the draw string. During a first charging stroke, the transmission engages to store energy during the draw. At the end of the charging stroke, the transmission engages to prevent release of stored energy. The transmission also disengages the draw string to enable a subsequent charging stroke from an intermediate rest position. From a final rest position, the user initiates a firing stroke on the draw string. At the end of the firing stroke, the transmission couples the draw string and the flexible limb to release stored energy through the draw string.

Abstract: Optical assemblies have one or more optical elements mounted in the cavity of a barrel. The optical element has a curved abutment surface engaging a seat provided in the cavity. The barrel has an inner wall provided with a set of internal threads. External threads are provided on a peripheral wall of the optical element or on a perimeter wall of a retaining ring securing the optical element within the cavity. The internal and external threads have a thread profile including a load-bearing thread face perpendicular to the center axis of the cavity. The thread profile may define a Buttress thread profile or a square thread profile.

Abstract: For producing an aerated confectionery mass, a raw confectionery mass is fed at a feed rate from a supply to an aeration unit for introducing gas into the confectionery mass and wherein the aerated confectionery mass is fed to a production line for the production of confectionery or tablets. The feed rate of the raw confectionery mass is controlled such that it corresponds to the demand of the production line, the amount of introduced gas is controlled in response to the feed rate of the confectionery mass so that the aeration level of the confectionery mass remains substantially constant and the temperature of the aeration mass within the aeration unit is controlled such that it remains substantially constant and independent from the feed rate.

Each foot receiving area is longitudinally fixed with respect to the respective foot link and the mid portion of each foot link has a defined support location. The frame supports the support locations of the support links at a generally constant vertical height while allowing horizontal motion relative to the frame. The rearward length of the foot links is at least 1.5 times the forward length such that the foot receiving areas move in a path of travel having more vertical travel than horizontal travel.

The method includes receiving data from a pre-layout design process for the IC chip, routing a plurality of interconnecting wires to connect various devices of the IC chip, and extracting various circuit parameters. The method also includes simulating the IC chip using the extracted various circuit parameters to detect logic or timing error in the IC chip. The extracting the various circuit parameters includes establishing a statistical interconnect technology profile (ITP) file containing at least interconnect parasitic parameters based on correlations of interconnect layer geometric parameter variations.

This invention relates to a food product or part thereof comprising a sour tastant and at least one flavour congruent with the sour tastant, wherein the at least one flavour is distributed homogeneously throughout the food product or part thereof, and wherein the sour tastant is distributed throughout the food product or part thereof inhomogeneously, and wherein the food product or part thereof can be consumed whole by a consumer, and wherein the food product or part thereof is in the form of a frozen confection. The food product or part thereof was observed to impart an enhanced perception of lemon flavour and sour taste.

Abstract: Devices and methods for assisting with slicing items, such as food items, are disclosed. The devices may be referred to as press and slice devices. Such devices may include a base and a lid. The base and lid may each include a flexible layer, and the flexible layers may be configured to hold the items being sliced when the lid and base are pressed together. The lid may include a handle to, for example, help the user hold the lid and protect the user's fingers. The base may include a foot made of a material with a higher coefficient of friction than the material of the base to, for example, help secure the base to the surface the device is being used on. The lid and base may include means for positionally securing the lid relative to the base, such as using a post and slot system.

Abstract: The objective of the present invention is to provide a method for preparation of an oil-in-water emulsion, such as a mayonnaise, having a reduced oil content. Such reduced oil emulsion nevertheless should have the same properties as the higher oil variants. This objective has been met by a method wherein a dispersion of cellulosic fibres is heated, before being mixed with other ingredients of the emulsion. Either the dispersion of cellulosic fibres is homogenised in a high pressure homogeniser at relatively high pressure, or the final emulsion containing the dispersion of cellulosic fibres is homogenised in a high pressure homogeniser at relatively high pressure.
