  • Patent number: 4575171
Abstract: A connector connectable and disconnectable without requiring any force comprises a pivotal lever, a slide plate linearly movable in its longitudinal directions by the operation of the lever and adapted be raised and lowered in response to the linear movements, and an ON-OFF plate adapted to rise and lower in response to the rising and lowering movements of the slide plate for opening at least one pair of contacts by inserting the ON-OFF plate between the contacts in the rising movement of the ON-OFF plate and closing the pair of contacts by removing the ON-OFF plate from between the contacts in the lowering movement of the ON-OFF plate. According to the invention, the lever is made detachable from the connector to avoid the need of bulky boxes for packaging due to its elongated lever and risk of damage to the lever subjected to excess forces.

  • Patent number: 4082618
Abstract: A method of electrolytic treating elongated materials such as hoop materials, rods and wires and an apparatus for carrying out the method comprising a treating unit consisting of unit halves comprising a through passage for feeding the material to be treated, insulating passages for flowing a treating liquid onto the surfaces of the material to be treated, electrodes for flowing electric current between the material and the electrodes and an insulating shield for shielding portions of the material not to be treated. When the material is fed continuously or intermittently through the treating unit while electric current flows between the electrodes and the material, the material is subjected to the electrolytic treatment or plating, of which plated portions are of desired size, shape and location on the material.

  • Patent number: 4039398
Abstract: A method and an apparatus for effecting in succession electrolytic processes and other processes such as water washing in connection therewith, comprising a series of treating units respectively for the electrolytic and other processes, the treating units being arranged in row in the order of the processes. Each treating unit consists of first and second unit halves one upon the other, the unit halves comprising a through passage for feeding the material and at least one insulating passage for flowing a treating liquid onto surfaces of the material, and the units for the electrolytic processes being further provided with electrodes for causing electric current to flow between the electrodes and the material.
