Abstract: A valvetrain for an internal combustion engine has a camshaft rotatable about an axis of rotation, a sliding-block element connected in a rotationally fixed manner to the camshaft and displaceable in the axial direction of the camshaft relative thereto, which sliding-block element has an outer circumferential jacket surface with a shift gate via which a rotational movement of the sliding-block element can be converted into a displacement of the sliding-block element in the axial direction of the camshaft relative thereto, and a shift rod at least partially accommodated in the camshaft and displaceable by the sliding-block element in the axial direction of the camshaft relative thereto and via which shift rod an actuation of a gas exchange valve can be influenced.
Abstract: A valve gear has a cam shaft with a firing cam and a braking cam. A first cam follower is allocated to the firing cam with the first cam follower being provided in a firing operation for actuating a gas exchange valve. A second cam follower is allocated to the braking cam with the second cam follower being provided in a braking operation for actuating the gas exchange valve. A changeover device switches between the operations and has a tilting lever mount having a pivotably mounted mounting element on which a tilting lever belonging to the first cam follower and a tilting lever belonging to the second cam follower are pivotably mounted. The tilting lever mount has two mounting screws respectively having a ball head and the ball heads each form a ball joint together with a ball head receiver of the allocated tilting lever.
Abstract: A ground pad module for charging a power-driven vehicle is designed to be arranged on an underground accessible to the vehicle. The ground pad module includes a fan unit arranged within the ground pad module and configured to cool at least one electrical and/or electronic assembly arranged within the ground pad module by an air flow that can be supplied to the ground pad module from an exterior area. An inlet channel of the air flow is designed such that if the ground pad module is arranged as intended, water penetrating through an inlet opening of the inlet channel must overcome at least one step in a component of a flow direction of the water before it reaches the fan unit and/or the assembly with the component facing a direction opposite to the force of gravity.
Abstract: An energy storage device for a motor vehicle includes a first energy store and a second energy store for storing electrical energy, a charging connection for charging the energy stores, an operating connection for operating a load on the energy storage device, and a switching device which has a plurality of switching elements and via which the energy stores can be connected selectively in series or in parallel. A fifth switching element of the switching device is permanently electrically coupled to the electrical poles of opposite polarity of the energy stores and the energy stores can be connected in series via the fifth switching element independently of the other switching elements of the switching device.

Abstract: A valve train device, particularly for an internal combustion engine, includes a camshaft, a cam element able to be displaced axially on the camshaft, and a mechanical displacement element which is provided on the camshaft for the purpose of axially displacing the cam element. The mechanical displacement element is provided to move the cam element by interaction with only a single contour of the cam element in a first and a second axial direction.

Abstract: A valve drive device, in particular for an internal combustion engine, includes a support element fixed to a housing and at least one axially shiftable cam unit allocated to a valve. The cam unit has at least three cam tracks. At least one switching unit which is a displacement body is provided to displace at least one part of the cam unit in the direction of a first actuation direction for axial shifting. The displacement body displaces at least one part of the cam unit in the direction of a second actuation direction opposing the first actuation direction.

Abstract: An engine block for an internal combustion engine of a motor vehicle has a cylinder within which a piston can be movably accommodated between a top dead center and a bottom dead center and has a cylinder bore, the internal cylinder diameter of which expands in the direction of the bottom dead center. The internal cylinder diameter expands only below the region in which a piston system change takes place during operation of the internal combustion engine. The internal cylinder diameter tapers from the top dead center to the region.

Abstract: A method for controlling a positive gearshift unit includes, in an engagement procedure, a coupling element, which is connected to a first coupling half and which has a beveled coupling toothing, is brought into engagement with a blocking element, which has a blocking toothing and which is connected to a second coupling half, and is brought into engagement with a catch element, which is connected to the second coupling half, which has a beveled catch toothing, and which is able to move circumferentially with respect to the blocking element. In the engagement procedure, a touch-point is set which comes after a crossing of a synchronous rotational speed in a rotational speed difference profile.
Abstract: A shelving system for a motor vehicle has at least one shelf, which includes a base unit with a base element supported in a base position allocated to the base element on a support element and is mounted on a pivoting axis. The base element can be shifted around the axis out of the base position allocated to it into an access position allocated to the base element, in which the base element is raised by the at least one support element. A further base element is supported in a base position allocated to the further base element on the support element and is mounted on a further pivoting axis arranged on the side of the support element opposite the first pivoting axis. The further base element can be shifted into an access position, in which the further base element is raised by the support element.
Abstract: Structures and methods are disclosed for removing water, and particularly for preventing ice blockages, in solid polymer electrolyte fuel cells comprising reactant vias that fluidly connect a reactant transition region to a reactant port. Water can be removed from the reactant via by making its surface superhydrophobic while incorporating at least one additional via with a hydrophilic surface in parallel therewith.
