Abstract: A method for supporting a driver driving a vehicle involves monitoring an environment surrounding the vehicle, detecting road users at a crossing or intersection, and emitting indications concerning priority rules to the driver. The indications are emitted to the driver as symbols overlapping the surrounding environment on a display unit or overlapping an image of the surrounding environment.

Abstract: A method and a control assembly for operating an exhaust gas system of a motor vehicle is disclosed. Measuring values are evaluated, which indicate a content of nitrogen oxides in an exhaust gas downstream of a catalytic device. The catalytic device is adapted to diminish the content of nitrogen oxides in the exhaust gas produced by an engine of the motor vehicle. Based on the measuring values a quality of a reducing agent supplied to the catalytic device is assessed. The method includes determining whether reducing agent has been filled into a storage tank. A plurality of measuring values is captured during a predetermined period of time, and a magnitude and a frequency of the plurality of measuring values are taken into account to assess the quality of the reducing agent.
Abstract: A wiper arm arrangement with a wiper arm of a windscreen wiper system of a vehicle and an attachment element having at least one line. The attachment element can be coupled to a connecting element designed for holding a wiper blade and for connecting the wiper blade to the wiper arm. Due to the coupling, at least one corresponding line of the connecting element can be joined onto the at least one line of the attachment element. The connecting element can be fitted onto the attachment element in an installation direction which coincides at least substantially with a direction of longitudinal extent of the wiper arm. The attachment element is arranged on the wiper arm so as to be movable in the direction of longitudinal extent of the wiper arm.

Abstract: A method for operating an exhaust gas purification system of an internal combustion engine, which can be operated in a lean operating mode and in a rich operating mode, is disclosed. The exhaust gas purification system has, arranged one after the other in the direction of flow of the exhaust gas, an ammonia-forming catalyst, a first exhaust gas sensor, an ammonia-SCR catalyst, a nitrogen oxide storage catalyst and a second exhaust gas sensor. Exhaust gas sensors emit a first signal correlating with the nitrogen oxide content of the exhaust gas and a second signal correlating with the lambda value of the exhaust gas. In diagnostic operation, the ammonia storage capacity of the ammonia-SCR catalyst and the oxygen and optionally the nitrogen oxide storage capacity of the nitrogen oxide storage catalyst can be determined by analyzing the signals of the first and second exhaust gas sensors.
Abstract: A structure of an underrun protection bound to a plurality of brackets disposed at the front or rear portion of a frame of a vehicle is disclosed. The structure has a hollow having a closed section defined by a distal face of a longitudinal direction of the vehicle, a proximal face of the longitudinal direction, an upper face, and a lower face. A plurality of lightening holes are formed in line along an extending direction of the underrun protection on at least one of the distal face and the proximal face. The plurality of lightening holes have diameters in vertical direction set larger as departing farther from binder parts each at which the underrun protection is bound to one of the plurality of brackets.

Abstract: An ornamental grille for a motor vehicle front part is disclosed. The ornamental grille has a plurality of ornamental elements which respectively include an ornamental element end wall and an ornamental element side wall protruding from this and has a plurality of connecting elements via which adjacent ornamental elements are connected to one another respectively. The ornamental elements are arranged in rows and the ornamental elements of one row are laterally offset from the ornamental elements of the adjacently arranged row of ornamental elements.
Abstract: Certain fuel cell designs employ bipolar plate assemblies with internal coolant flow fields which comprise a coolant channel region and transition regions adjacent the coolant channel region. The temperature and/or pressure drop, and hence flow, of coolant over the coolant channel region can be non-uniform however, and this can have an adverse effect on cell performance. The coolant flow and temperature distribution can be modified and made more uniform by inserting an appropriate non-uniform porous insert in one or more of the coolant transition regions.
Abstract: In a valve drive train device for an internal combustion engine of motor vehicle, wherein at least one axially movably mounted cam element including at least one cam set with at least two cam parts and a shifting gate with at least two gate track for converting a rotary movement of the cam element into an axial shifting motion, at least one of the cam parts and the adjacent gate track are disposed in an at least partially axially overlapping relationship for reducing thereby the axial length and the mass of the cam element or permitting the use of a larger, highly durable, actuating mechanism.

Abstract: A radiator grille arrangement for a vehicle is disclosed. The grille arrangement has at least one support frame surrounding a primary air inlet, a number of closure flaps which are mounted for rotation around a flap rotation axis between a closed position and an open position, where flap levers are molded or formed on the closure flaps, the flap levers being operatively connected to a sliding bolt, and an actuating drive for positioning the closure flaps. A flap frame is provided for receiving the closure flaps, the sliding bolt and the actuating drive, where the flap frame is formed in two parts and is able to be attached to the support frame of a radiator shield in a non-positive, positive and/or firmly bonded manner.

Abstract: A dual-clutch transmission has two input shafts for connection to a power shift clutch, at least one countershaft offset in parallel to the input shafts, an output gearwheel designed as an idler gear and situated coaxially with respect to the countershaft, at least one gearwheel plane having an idler gear situated coaxially with respect to the countershaft, and a shifting unit having a first shift position in which the output gearwheel and the countershaft are connected to one another in a rotationally fixed manner. The shifting unit has a second shift position in which the idler gear and the output gearwheel are directly connected to one another in a rotationally fixed manner.
Abstract: Bipolar plate assemblies are disclosed in which the transition fuel channels are offset from the transition oxidant channels in the transition regions on the active sides of the plates. This configuration allows for a reduced pressure drop in the coolant flow in the transition regions on the inactive, coolant side of the plates and thereby improves coolant flow sharing. The assemblies are suitable for use in high power density solid polymer electrolyte fuel cell stacks.
Abstract: A carrier device for attachment to a pane of a motor vehicle is disclosed. The carrier device has a base plate which is able to be secured to the pane, on which base plate a carrier arrangement is formed to hold a housing of at least one camera. The carrier arrangement includes at least one holding element having at least one spring element which is designed to apply pressure to a rod-shaped component which is arranged on the housing of the camera and which protrudes beyond a wall of the housing, the pressure acting in the direction towards the second side of the base plate. A pane of a motor vehicle on which such a carrier device is placed is also disclosed.

Abstract: A determination of a quality of a reducing agent solution containing ammonia used to reduce nitrogen oxides involves actuating a metering unit that delivers metered quantities of reducing agent solution into an engine's discharged exhaust gas and determining an efficiency value that is at least correlated with the efficiency of the SCR catalytic converter and comparing the efficiency value to a predefinable limit value. If an efficiency value not corresponding to proper functioning of the SCR exhaust emission control system is identified by the comparison, a switch is made to a diagnostic mode in a second method step. If a predefinable deviation of the efficiency value from a limit value is identified after expiration of the second method step time period, a third method step is performed for conditioning the SCR catalytic converter. A fourth step involves an adaptation mode in which a deviation from the efficiency value is determined.
