Abstract: In an operating and diagnostic method for an SCR exhaust gas aftertreatment system which has an SCR catalytic converter with ammonia storage capacity, a signal of an exhaust gas sensor that is sensitive to nitrogen oxide and ammonia and is arranged downstream of the SCR catalytic converter, is measured. In a normal operating mode, ammonia is supplied to the SCR catalytic converter corresponding to a filling level model for ammonia stored in the SCR catalytic converter, in such a way that the ammonia filling level of the SCR catalytic converter is held at least approximately at a predefinable nominal value (or value range). The normal operating mode is interrupted if an exhaust gas sensor signal that exceeds a predefinable first limit value, is registered, and the set urea dosing rate is increased by a predefinable degree in relation to the value provided in the normal operating mode.
Abstract: An electric powertrain comprises a high voltage bus an electric machine, and a traction inverter is coupled between a high voltage bus and the electric machine. An electric voltage for the high voltage bus is generated with the electric machine and the traction inverter when the electric machine is driven mechanically. The generated electric voltage is limited and converted to a predetermined voltage lower than the limited voltage. A unit of the vehicle, such as a cooling pump, is powered with the predetermined voltage.
Abstract: A method for starting operation of a solid polymer fuel cell from a temperature below 0° C. is disclosed that prevents certain problems with ice formation as the fuel cell thaws. During startup, the method involves providing the volumetric oxidant flow at a rate less than two thirds of its maximum when the coolant temperature is near 0° C.

Abstract: A fuel supply system for a fuel cell stack includes a cathode gas supply line for supplying an oxidant to the cathode input of the fuel cell stack and an anode gas supply line for supplying fuel to the anode input of the fuel cell stack. An anode gas recirculation line recirculates partially used anode gas from the anode output to the anode input while a purge line may be connected for conducting away the partially used anode gas, as a purge gas from the anode gas recirculation line into the cathode gas supply line. The supply system also includes a conditioning arrangement disposed upstream of the cathode input. The conditioning arrangement is designed to a) mix a partial flow of the oxidant with the purge gas in a mixing station, b) compress accelerate, and/or heat the partial flow or the mixed flow, and c) conduct the mixed flow into the cathode gas supply line.
