Abstract: An antiremoval device for a locking mechanism for a steering column lock for motor vehicles is disclosed. A fastening member extending through releasably connected housing parts, which prevent tampering with the locking parts, engages additionally into a displaceable catch of the locking parts when the catch is in a locking position with the steering column to thereby prevent the fastening member from being moved to a position releasing the housing parts.
Abstract: An arrangement for removing soot particles from the exhaust stream of a diesel internal combustion engine in such a manner that the soot particles are caught between conductor elements disposed at different potential, produce a short circuit and thereby burn off. In order to be able to realize a purification of the exhaust gas stream without a significant increase of the exhaust gas counterpressure, a centrifugal separator is connected to the exhaust gas line, which passes over into a soot particle collecting chamber constructed axially symmetrical to the longitudinal axis thereof; a predetermined number of electrodes is arranged in turn in the soot particle collecting chamber at a slight distance to the casing interior surface whereby the electrodes among one another or the electrodes and the soot particle collecting chamber itself are at a different potential.
Abstract: In the case of a shearing element that can be used as an engine mounting in a motor vehicle, an elastic damping body that is developed in the way of a rubber--metal mounting and a shearing unit are provided in a mechanical parallel connection for supporting the engine at the body. It is their purpose to avoid, in the natural-vibration range of the mounting--mass system, an excessive increase of the amplitudes in the case of a resonance.

Abstract: A method and apparatus for the control of the continuously variable transmission ratio of a cone disk belt transmission in a motor vehicle with internal combustion engine, in which changes of the engine rotational speed are guided from actual to desired value specified by the drive pedal during the corresponding transmission change along a rotational speed change desired specified characteristic curve.
Abstract: In a system for controlling the propulsion on motor vehicles, by a reduction of the drive torque by an intervention in ignition, carburator or fuel injection and/or brakes, includes a first device which reduces the drive torque when the maximum adhesion coefficient is exceeded, and a second device which reduces the drive torque to a value associated with the measured maximum value of the vehicle acceleration when the monitored wheel variable exceeds the threshold value, as a result of which too great an excess of torque is prevented and sufficient traction and cornering stability are retained without unnecessarily slowing down a propulsion of the motor vehicle.

Abstract: A repair method for repairing stone or gravel impact damages on windshields of mult-layer safety glass, in which the damaged place is covered with a transparent suction cup, a vacuum is produced underneath the suction cup and a liquid-clear hardening synthetic resinous material is applied onto the damaged place by means of an injection needle pierced through the suction cup. Compared to known repair methods, the method of this invention requires a lesser apparatus expenditure and can be carried out in a more simple manner.
Abstract: A propulsion control device for a motor vehicle which has a permanently balanced all-wheel drive, wherein the drive slip thresholds at which the control responds in the sense of a braking action, is increased as a function of the velocity and decreased as a function of the transverse acceleration. The acceleration thresholds, at which the control responds, are lowered as a function of the transverse acceleration. In the case of travel in a straight line, the lowest of the wheel peripheral velocities is taken as the reference velocity relative to which the drive slip thresholds are fixed. In the case of travel in a curve, the average of the wheel peripheral velocities of the left-hand side and right-hand side vehicle wheels is taken as the reference velocity for the vehicle wheels on the left-hand side and the right-hand side of the vehicle, respectively. From the time t.sub.
Abstract: A central locking system for motor vehicles, not only doors and tailgate and gas tank-cap lids, but also several flaps of containers arranged in the passenger space (gloveboxes, small luggage compartments). These locks can be released and locked jointly by a unitary switch signal, or for specific conditions, both the doors and lids and the flaps can respectively be locked and released separately in groups.

Abstract: A windshield is provided having a glass surface which includes silicon atoms bonded to a silicon-organic group via oxygen atoms. The windshield exhibits anti-fogging properties. A method of treating windshields having a glass surface with a silicon-organic group is also provided for impacting anti-fogging properties to the windshield.
Abstract: An actuating linkage for a motor vehicle clutch with a clutch lever which can assume two end positions corresponding to the engaged and the disengaged clutch and at which engages an over-dead-center spring that exerts on the clutch lever a force directed toward a respective end position. In order to reduce the actuating force to be produced by the driver with a strong over-dead-center-point spring, the compensating spring engages at the clutch lever which exerts on the clutch lever a force directed toward the end position corresponding to the disengaged clutch whereby the torque applied on the clutch lever by the compensating spring is smaller with a disengaged clutch than with an engaged clutch.
Abstract: In an antilocking braking system, a pressure modulator is provided for the control of pressure reduction and pressure build-up phases, wherein a drive pressure space of this modulator is placed under a pressure control to move a modulator piston into an end position associated with a minimum volume of a work chamber, which forms a section of the master brake line. In this end position, a spring-loaded inlet valve, connected between the work chamber of the pressure modulator and the brake booster of the brake system, is held in its open position by a tappet. As a result of pressure release in the drive pressure space, the modulator piston is displaced in the direction of its end position associated with a maximum volume of the work chamber, so that brake fluid can flow back into the work chamber from one or more wheel brakes connected to this work chamber.
Abstract: A fuel tank for vehicles is constructed so that any disturbing generation of noise in the fuel tank due to swashing fuel, particularly during acceleration and deceleration, is prevented. For this purpose wall sections of the fuel tank are equipped internally with a structured surface forming stabilization chambers. At the fuel-free regions of these walls sections, the swashing wave front of the fuel is dissolved over a large area, by the surface structure, into a plurality of wave sections which are distributed and diverted, whereby fuel movements which customarily generate swashing noises are effectively attenuated.
Abstract: A dashpot for fuel tanks is designed such that gas bubbles produced in the latter can no longer cause troublesome noises within the fuel tank. This is achieved by means of a gas separation space which is separated from the dashpot intake chamber, into which a fuel return line opens and to the upper wall of which a degassing line discharging above the maxiumum fuel level in the fuel tank is connected.

Abstract: A regulation for a gas engine with a rotational speed probe for the crankshaft rotational speed, with a rotational speed-load-ignition angle-performance graph memory read out during each crankshaft rotation, with an ignition pulse generator controlled by the performance graph memory, with a lambda-probe, with a load probe, with a vacuum-controlled gas pressure adjusting device for the propulsion gas and with a flow-mixing device for the propulsion gas and the air. The invention provides a regulation for a gas engine which offers a full utilization of the possibilities of the gas engine above all in lean operation and in the partial load range. A rotational speed-load-lambda-performance graph (36) is provided for producing lambda-desired values. The lambda-desired values readied by the rotational speed-load-lambda-performance graph (36) are compared with the lambda-actual values under formation of a lambda difference value.

Abstract: The invention relates to a laminar masking device, particularly for use in/on vehicles, comprising a plurality of surface sections mutually flexible with common bending axes, which are transferable alternately into two required bending positions and are retained therein. In order that the masking device may be particularly well adapted in the structural context to existing space conditions, it is flexible only at an obtuse angle at each bending axis located between two adjacent surface sections. A plurality of mutually aligned surface sections of the masking device are constructed as narrow connecting strips, and all the surface sections of the masking device are retained in the required mutual bending position by self-locking at the bending axes.
