Abstract: A thermostatic control valve for maintaining an essentially constant set value of an operating temperature of a liquid coolant conductible through a cooling jacket of an internal combustion engine with a valve chamber open to a first valve connection and with a valve controlling the coolant connection between a second valve connection and the valve chamber and a further valve controlling the coolant connection between a third valve connection and the valve chamber. A thermostatic adjusting element, responsive with adjusting movements to temperature changes, is operatively connected with the valves so as to selectively actuate the same. One of the valves is actuatable for suppression of a coolant flow in the cooling jacket by a spring means abutting a fixed thrust bearing mounted on the valve chamber with the other valve being actuatable by the adjusting element into a closed position.
Abstract: In a reciprocating internal-combustion engine, a power unit comprises cylinders 1, cylinder heads 2, pistons, connecting rods, a crankshaft and crankshaft bearings. Soundproofing supporting members mount the ends of the power unit in an outer pan 7 which is connected to a flywheel housing 8. Soundproofing supporting members 12, 12a, 13 are coaxial with the crankshaft and center the power unit and hold it against substantial axial movement in the outer pan. An oil seal 14 is fitted between the power block and the top rim of the outer pan.

Abstract: A control valve for controlling a routing of a pressure medium in pneumatic conduits, especially those in motor vehicles, wherein the control valve includes a housing provided with a cylindrical recess and a control slide guided in the cylindrical recess in a longitudinally-displaceable fashion. A gasket or sealing arrangement is provided by means of which a central pneumatic conduit is alternatingly connected, after an operating stroke of the control slide, to a pneumatic conduit lying to the left and to the right of the central pneumatic conduit. The control valve further includes an operating sleeve longitudinally displaceable between two compression springs supported on the control slide and between two detent locations. The operating sleeve is arranged on the control slide in such a way that, upon operation of the operating sleeve, the control slide is braked as soon as sealing elements of the sealing arrangement abut against respective opposite valve seat surfaces.

Abstract: A multicylinder internal combustion engine with valve disconnection wherein an intermediate mechanical device is interposed between an end of the valve stem end and a valve actuating mechanism with the intermediate mechanical device arbitrarily serving, in one case, as a rigid intermediate member between the end of the valve stem and the valve actuating mechanism and, in another case, in a closed setting of the valve, abolishes or eliminates the interconnection between the end of the valve stem and the valve actuating means.
Abstract: A method and apparatus for operating an air-compressing internal combustion engine with auto-ignition in which the fuel quantity to be injected is supplied initially in at least one pre-injection jet and thereafter in at least one main injection jet; the fuel of the main injection is preheated to a temperature above the temperature range critical for an evaporation of the fuel at least during operation of the engine in its upper load range while the fuel of the pre-injection is kept below the critical temperature; the injection valve includes two pressure spaces which are series-connected, whereby the pressure space disposed in second place, as viewed in the direction of flow, is arranged in heat-absorbing relationship to the interior of the working space of the internal combustion engine.
Abstract: A passenger motor vehicle with a fuel tank arranged to the rear of the rear seats within a space which is provided with inflow openings for dynamic air flow and/or with inflow openings for exhaust air out of the vehicle interior of motor vehicles equipped with an air-conditioning system, and with outflow openings to enable the discharge of air out of the fuel tank space.
Abstract: A pivotal hood-like structure, especially for use in motor vehicles, for covering a separate aggregate space underneath an engine hood which accommodate a windshield wiper installation arranged between the engine space and the passenger space within the area underneath the windshield. After turning on the windshield wiper installation, the hood-like structure is initially pivoted into and held in a first open position for the operation of the windshield wiper arms, and after turning off the windshield wiper installation, the hood-like structure is returned into the closed position by the force of a spring. The hood-like structure may be manually pivoted into a second wide open position, so as to permit easy access to the aggregate space for purposes of maintenance. A pivot axis of the hood-like structure is arranged so that it is pivoted into the aggregate space during the opening thereof.
Abstract: A rotary cylinder lock with a lock cylinder rotatable in a casing, preferably a door handle housing of a motor vehicle, with the lock cylinder being pivotable into closed and open positions by at least one key associated therewith and insertable in the lock cylinder. The rotary cylinder lock is constructed such that a second key can be inserted into the lock cylinder with the second key having, at a location other than in cases of the main key, notches or projections or the like controlling additional locking members. The second key actuates, by pivoting, a switching unit which, if necessary, triggers a safety device so as to prevent unauthorized use of the motor vehicle.

Abstract: A steerable vehicle adapted to be driven on roads, especially for the public local passenger traffic, which has a steerable axle with deflectable wheels and at least one axle with wheels immovable relative to the axle which is pivotally secured at the vehicle in a bogey-like manner, and with cross-guide rollers mounted on both sides of the vehicle within the area of the vehicle axles and carried at least indirectly by the respective axle bodies. The pivotal axle is elastically centered in a straight driving position, out of which it is pivotal by the steering forces produced by the cross-guide rollers against the force of centering springs, whereby the centering springs and the prestress are chosen so strong that brake force differences of one vehicle side compared to the other side do not effect an automatic axle deflection.
Abstract: A detent mechanism for holding shifting members of a mechanical transmission gear system in different shifted positions. The shifting members may be formed as shifting rocker arms pivotable about a bearing for shifting gears of the transmission. A detent contour may be provided at each shifting rocker arm with the detent contour being adapted to be engaged by a resiliently flexible member. A fixed bearing is arranged between the shifting rocker arm with the resiliently flexible member being constructed as a flat spring resting on the bearing and having free ends thereof counterbearing on the detent contours of the respective shifting rocker arms.

The sintered metal bodies are particularly useful for production of battery electrodes.
