Abstract: A hardtop a convertible vehicle has at least two roof parts which can be displaced between a closed position and a stowed position. In the stowed position, the roof parts are stowed in a vehicle trunk, and can be brought into a loading position which is elevated relative to the stowed position. Furthermore, the hardtop has a folding-top actuation assembly which has at least one folding-top linkage, at least one drive device and at least one bearing device. The roof parts are coupled to the bearing device via at least one link of the folding-top linkage and can be displaced by the drive device. The bearing device has a main bearing and an intermediate bearing which is movable relative to the main bearing. The drive device has a translatory drive element and a rotatory drive elements, which are engaged with each other. The link of the folding-top linkage is connected to the rotatory drive element and is mounted such that it can rotate together with the intermediate bearing about a common pivot.
Abstract: In a method and a device for preventively actuating a vehicle occupant protection means in a vehicle having a vehicle movement dynamics control system, the vehicle occupant protection elements can be activated before a collision time and thus placed in an operative position. An evaluation variable relating to a state of “oversteering” is monitored, and when the state of “oversteering” is identified the vehicle occupant protection elements are activated. The evaluation variable for monitoring the state of “oversteering” is determined by using a manipulated variable of the vehicle movement dynamics control system.
Abstract: In a method, device and computer-readable medium for searching automatically for a similar or equal computer-accessible design model of an electronic library, multiple design models of components are provided. In a first phase, for each of these design models, a substitute design model is calculated, and then, using this substitute model, a set of attribute values of the design model. In a second phase, a computer-accessible outline of a component is provided. A substitute outline and a set of attribute values for the substitute outline are calculated. For each provided design model, the distance of the attribute value set of this design model from the attribute value set of the substitute outline is calculated. The design model which has the shortest distance from the outline is determined.
Abstract: The invention relates to power-split transmission for a hybrid vehicle having an internal combustion engine, wherein the transmission has two electric motors (E1, E2) and a plurality of planetary gearings (N1, N2, N3, N4), and wherein for starting in a first driving range, a single power-split structure is provided at the input side, which structure is adjoined in a further driving range by a double power split. A further single power split for an overdrive adjoins these in a final driving range.

Abstract: A safety device is provided for a motor vehicle having a vehicle seat whose seat setting can be adjusted by a seat adjustment drive. A seat control unit evaluates data that is relevant to the safety of a driving mode and actuates the seat adjustment drive with timing. Thereby, movement of the vehicle seat into a seat setting occurs that is optimum for a vehicle occupant in terms of safety technology is initiated before the occurrence of an anticipated accident event. Movement of the vehicle seat into its optimum seat setting in terms of safety technology is carried out successively in individual adjustment steps for the respective components of the vehicle seat in a predefined sequence by the seat control unit.

Abstract: In a method for operating a preventive-action protection system in a vehicle having safety devices for diminishing the consequences of accidents, driving state data is acquired by a driving state sensor system and is monitored with respect to the longitudinal deceleration of the vehicle and a braking torque request by the driver. A state of emergency braking is determined by a braking request evaluation means, and at least one of the safety devices is triggered only if a longitudinal deceleration below a longitudinal deceleration threshold is simultaneously present.
Abstract: A vehicle door has an easy exit feature that holds the vehicle door in a desired latched position by applying a latching torque with a controllable damper. An evaluation and control unit detects the desired latched positions by evaluating an instantaneous door movement sensed by a sensor system, and accordingly actuates the damper. The evaluation and control unit releases the latched position after a corresponding activation has been detected. The easy exit feature is embodied as a variable latching function, and applies a maximum holding force to the vehicle door by way of the damper and locks the vehicle door in the desired latched position.

Abstract: Recently, at least some parts of exterior components of vehicles have been made of plastic as well by back-molding lacquer films with plastic. A large number of such exterior components require transparent areas which are produced separately and are inserted into die-cut zones of the component. Said method requires a lot of effort while joints are difficult to prevent. The aim of the invention therefore is to create a component that can be produced in a simpler manner and without creating gaps as well as an adequate method for the production thereof. Said aim is achieved by introducing a hole into the film for the transparent area, inserting said film into the component mold, and then back-molding the same with a transparent plastic material in the mold such that the hole is filled with the transparent plastic material.
Abstract: This invention involves an internal combustion engine for a motor vehicle with a lubricant pump to transport a fluid, almost incompressible lubricant, especially a motor oil, as well as a lubricant guide element (1b) to guide the lubricant to the lubrication points of the internal combustion engine. In the internal combustion engine of the invention an elastic, flexible dampening element (2b) to accept pressure pulsations in the lubricant is associated with the lubricant guide element (1b). A dampening element (2b), for example, can have a bypass resonator with a calmed lubricant reservoir (4b). Use, for example, is in passenger motor vehicles.
Abstract: In a safety system for operating at least one electrically operated locking device of a door of a vehicle, electric opening of the locking device is inhibited dependent on sensor values which are related to the driving situation and indicate an impact. In one embodiment, inhibiting of electric opening is limited to doors that are adjacent vehicle occupants.
