Abstract: A telescoping parts manipulator comprising a telescoping tubular arm which is extended and retracted by a cable from a cable drum, and a workpiece engaging assembly which pivots on a wrist swivel axis carried at the end of the telescoping arm which engages molded articles in a molding machine. The telescoping arm is mounted to a slide box which moves forward and backward to allow engagement with a molded article, clearance of the tie bars in the mold, and movement towards a work station such as a conveyor belt. The cable is a hollow nylon tube which provides vacuum from a vacuum source through the telescoping arm to suction cups at the end of the arm which engage the molded articles.
Abstract: The present invention is comprised of a dielectric case having defined in it a cylindrical cavity with a larger diameter counterbore in its upper portion. Slots extending across the case and through the cavity have the same depth as the cavity and carry wire conductors whose diameter is less than the difference between the depth of the cavity and the depth of the counterbore. Located medially in the bottom of the cavity is a raised bridge which has a height approximately equal to the amount the diameter of the wire conductors is less than the difference between the depth of the cavity and the depth of the counterbore. Thus the top surfaces of the wires lie below the counterbore proximate the periphery of the cavity and lie approximately co-planar with the lip of the counterbore at the center of the cavity. An electrically conductive deformable dome having a diameter approximately equal to the diameter of the counterbore is secured in the cavity by a piece of transparent tape adhered to the top of the case.
Abstract: A liquid container having a lid which can be selectively rotated to a secured position and to a visually distinct unsecured position, comprising a container body having a flange forming an upper opening and notches adjacent thereto, a lid adapted to engage the flange to close the opening, the lid having upper and lower tabs which can be alternatively received by the notches, the upper tabs underlying the flange to secure the lid to the container when the lid is in a first rotational position and which engage the flange to support the the lid in a visually distinct position when the lid is unsecured in a second rotational position.
