Abstract: A composite plastic material having improved shielding against electromagnetic interference is provided by injection molding a molding compound comprising elongated granules obtained by incorporating into a thermoplastic resin matrix metallized glass fibers together with carbon fibers.
Abstract: A storage and serving dish particularly constructed to retain a foodstuff of a generally unstable consistency and more particularly camembert cheese. The dish includes a dam or holder for product which is articulated and adapted to engage the severed portions of a cheese block positioned on a base member of the dish. Such dam includes means to removably fix one portion thereof to the base while another portion is freely movable to alternative positions within the circumference of the base. In addition, the freely positionable dam portion is also fixedly positioned by engagement with the dish closure when such is placed thereon.

Abstract: A storage stable, improved catalyst is obtained when an aluminum-reduced titanium trichloride catalyst which has been modified by treatment with an electron donor is heated at a temperature and for a period of time sufficient to drive the reaction to completion. In some instances this will involve the removal of gas which has been generated during the modification. In the usual practice a temperature of about 90.degree. C. and a period of about 90 minutes will be employed.

Abstract: A process for the suspension polymerization of vinyl chloride, in the presence of a redox catalyst system consisting of a peroxyester or diacyl peroxide and an isoascorbic acid ester of a carboxylic acid.
Abstract: A closure device for a container provided with at least three compartments open at the top of the container and angularly offset from one another around the container axis, including a cover mounted on top of the container, and presenting first and second dispensing openings, a cap covering the top of the container, enclosing the cover and provided with an outlet opening, and linkage connected between the cover and the cap for permitting the cap to rotate relative to the cover so that the outlet opening of the cap moves between the first and second dispensing openings and for causing the cap and cover to rotate as a unit when the cap outlet opening is aligned with one of the dispensing openings and the cap is rotating in the direction away from the other dispensing opening with respect to the angular path.
Abstract: A procedure is provided for the production of clean, dustless particulate granules from dusty, dirty particles by treatment with a composition comprising a liquid polymeric substance, illustratively, epoxidized soybean oil, and a solid, low molecular weight polymer having a melting point in the range of about 95.degree. to 105.degree. C., illustratively, a polyethylene vinyl acetate copolymer in the proportions of from 1 part of solid polymer to 1 part of liquid polymeric substance to 2 parts of solid polymer to 1 part of liquid polymeric substance. In one modification of the procedure, the ingredients were charged to a Papenmeir mixer and the mixer was run at 1500 RPM until a temperature of 95.degree. C. was reached. The resulting product comprised clean, dustless uniform beads.
