The latch assembly includes a front panel on the tray with longitudinally spaced pressure pads and forwardly projecting detents which engage with corresponding detents on the depending front wall of the lid. Simultaneous rearward pressure on the two pressure pads rearwardly release the tray detents from the lid detents and free the lid for removal.
