Abstract: A chest suitable for use in picnicking formed by an upwardly opening container and lid structure for closing same. The lid has a central portion interposed between end portions. The lid end portions are hinged to the lid central portion to permit partially opening of the chest at its opposite ends. The lid central portion is further detachably hinged to the side walls of the container at diametrically opposed points to permit full opening of the chest or complete removal of the lid therefrom. The chest disclosed is formed by enclosing selectively dimensioned pieces of rigid heat insulating material in flexible waterproof covering material along with additional insulation material. Snap fastener mechanism associated with flaps joined with the lid central portion may be employed for detachably connecting the lid on the container structure.
Abstract: A method and apparatus of injection blow molding containers utilizing injection and blow mold members opening on horizontal parting lines wherein the core pins are moved radially and wherein the core pins are first positioned in a lower half of the mold and sequentially the upper half if closed upon the pin when closing the molds. Provision is made for an auxiliary work station to supplement the capabilities of the apparatus.
Abstract: Clean etchings at high rates are obtained using a solution containing sulfuric acid, hydrogen peroxide, a catalytic amount of a selenium compound of a +4 oxidation state and t-butyl hydroperoxide.

Abstract: Aqueous hydrogen peroxide solutions used in metal dissolution processes are effectively stabilized against decomposition caused by metal ion contaminants by addition of saccharin or an alkali-metal salt of saccharin to the solutions.
Abstract: A rigid plate having a work piece supporting surface is securable to a machine tool. A plurality of spindles, each rotatable about an axis perpendicular to the support surface, are journalled within the plate. Engagement means carried by each spindle detachably receive attachment means for affixing a work piece to the supporting surface. The location of each engagement means is moveable relative the supporting surface in response to rotation of the respective spindle.
Abstract: An electrolytic plating cell is provided, wherein by means of flow directional baffle arrangements a rapid, uniform parallel movement of the electrolyte past all electrode surfaces can be maintained, while minimizing energy losses in moving the electrolyte.
Abstract: Improved metal dissolution rates are obtained when using a solution containing sulfuric acid, hydrogen peroxide and a catalytic amount of a thiosulfate of sodium or potassium.
Abstract: A method useful in the regeneration of a spent chromic acid-sulfuric acid plastic etch solution and also in the recovery of such etchant chemicals from rinse water associated with a plastic etching process, which method involves an electrolytic treatment, in which oxidation of trivalent chromium impurities to the serviceable hexavalent state takes place simultaneously with expulsion of organic impurities from the solution.

Abstract: A humidifier having an outer housing with a top opening covered with a removable top member. A power chassis and a rotatable drum having a web of water absorbent material about its circumference are mounted within the housing and are each removable through the top opening. A removable water container is located within the housing below the drum. The container is readily cleaned or replaced by lifting it out of the housing through the top opening.
Abstract: A pen plug particularly useful in ballpoint pens as a stopper to prevent back leakage of ink from the ink reservoir of such pens and yet function to allow passage of air into the pen interior. Such plugs include a plurality of substantially continuous synthetic filaments such as cellulose acetate, natural fibrous threads and synthetic filaments or mixtures of differing synthetic filaments bundled, braided and preferably encased in a plastic sheath.
