Abstract: A method and system for managing execution of database transactions are provided. The method includes receiving at least one statement that is a part of a transaction, wherein the transaction is initiated by a client to be executed on a database system; executing tasks included in each of the at least one received statement in an optimistic manner, wherein the received at least one statement is not a commit statement; and returning the client an acknowledgement that the transaction is committed, wherein the acknowledgement is returned upon validation of the transaction, wherein the transaction is validated in a pessimistic manner, and wherein the at least one received statement is a commit statement.

Abstract: A database system implementing a concurrency control protocol is provided. The database system includes a node connected through a network to a client; the node comprises: a storage for storing a plurality of data cells; one or more processors; and a memory, the memory containing instructions that, when executed by the one or more processors, configure the node to: receive at least one non-commit statement that is part of a transaction; execute locally tasks included in each of the at least one received statement in an optimistic manner allowing statements of other transactions to independently access same data cells in the database system being modified by tasks of the at least one received statement; and return the client an acknowledgment that the transaction is committed, the acknowledgment is returned upon validation of the transaction, wherein the transaction is validated in a pessimistic manner.

Abstract: The present invention provides systems and methods for use with electronic records, such as Electronic Medical Records (EMRs). A parser engine may receive a stream of Health Level 7 (HL7) messages containing EMR data and, using parsing logic, parse the HL7 messages to identify and extract specified EMR data therefrom. The extracted EMR data may be combined with analytic results data and presented via a trackerboard with refresh and writeback capability, to a medical professional or medical staff member, in real time or near real time relative to entry of the EMR data into an EMR system.

Abstract: A system and a method for media streaming from multiple sources are disclosed. A content requesting client device accesses a server to receive a list of available sources that may include multiple Content Delivery Networks (CDNs) and independent servers. Based on a pre-set criteria, such as the source delivery performance and cost, the client device partitions the content into parts, allocates a source to each part, and simultaneously receives media streams of the content parts from the allocated sources. The server may be a Video-on-Demand (VOD) server, and the content may be a single file of a video data, such as a movie. The delivery performance of the used sources is measured during the streaming for updating the partition or the allocation. The updated measured performance may be stored locally at the client device, or at a server for use by other clients. The client actions may be implemented as a client-side script.

Abstract: A computer-implemented method for selectively providing access to medical record information is disclosed. The method includes receiving, at a computer system, one or more digital images of a healthcare patient from a computing device that corresponds to a user account that is authorized to obtain information about patients in a healthcare system; using computerized facial recognition to identify the person as being one or more registered members of the healthcare system and to obtain a member identifier; using the member identifier to obtain electronic medical record information about the person; and providing some or all of the obtained electronic medical record information to the computing device.

Abstract: A method for fetching a content from a web server to a client device is disclosed, using tunnel devices serving as intermediate devices. The client device accesses an acceleration server to receive a list of available tunnel devices. The requested content is partitioned into slices, and the client device sends a request for the slices to the available tunnel devices. The tunnel devices in turn fetch the slices from the data server, and send the slices to the client device, where the content is reconstructed from the received slices. A client device may also serve as a tunnel device, serving as an intermediate device to other client devices. Similarly, a tunnel device may also serve as a client device for fetching content from a data server. The selection of tunnel devices to be used by a client device may be in the acceleration server, in the client device, or in both.

Abstract: A content management system and method work as a companion to other applications that control the system. The system and method draw information from the operations or structure of the controlling application to display and manage the content objects relevant to a record displayed by a user of the controlling application and stored in the content management system. The system and method operate in conjunction with the controlling application so that this management and display of content objects is dynamic, real-time, and context-sensitive for the user.

Abstract: An example method comprises receiving a new observation characterizing at least one parameter of an entity; inputting the new observation to a deep neural network having hidden layers; obtaining a second set of intermediate output values that are output from at least one of the hidden layers by inputting the received new observation to the deep neural network; mapping the second set of intermediate output values to a second set of projected values; determining whether or not the received new observation is an outlier with respect to the training dataset based on the latent variable model and the second set of projected values, calculating a prediction for the new observation; and determining a result indicative of the occurrence of at least one anomaly in the entity based on the prediction and the determination whether or not the new observation is an outlier.

Abstract: The systems and methods described herein are directed to techniques for improving battery life performance of end devices in resource monitoring systems which transmit data using low-power, wide area network (LPWAN) technologies. Further, the techniques include providing sensor interfaces in the end devices configured to communicate with multiple types of metrology sensors. Additionally, the systems and methods include techniques for reducing the size of a concentrator of a gateway device which receives resource measurement data from end devices. The reduced size of the concentrator results in smaller, more compact gateway devices that consume less energy and reduce heat dissipation experienced in gateway devices. The concentrator may comply with modular interface standards, and include two radios configured for transmitting 1-watt signals.

Abstract: A system designed for increasing network communication speed for users, while lowering network congestion for content owners and ISPs. The system employs network elements including an acceleration server, clients, agents, and peers, where communication requests generated by applications are intercepted by the client on the same machine. The IP address of the server in the communication request is transmitted to the acceleration server, which provides a list of agents to use for this IP address. The communication request is sent to the agents. One or more of the agents respond with a list of peers that have previously seen some or all of the content which is the response to this request (after checking whether this data is still valid).

In the event the first risk analysis results in a determination that the message meets a first criteria, at least a portion of the message is modified prior to sending a modified version of the message to a specified recipient of the message, and a second risk analysis of the message is performed. The first risk analysis is performed before sending the modified version of the message and the modified version of the message is sent to the specified recipient of the message prior to a conclusion of the second risk analysis. In the event the second risk analysis results in a determination that the message meets a second criteria, content of the message that was previously prevented from being accessed by the specified recipient is provided to the specified recipient of the message.

Abstract: A batch processor executing batch processing logic is provided for batch processing data that is stored in multiple tables and is organized in the tables as a plurality of rows of data and a plurality of columns. Each row is identified by a key, and each column represents a field having a unique field name. In operation, the batch processing is performed by reading out data from only a portion of a row from each of the tables that is to be used for the batch processing logic by specifying the key of the row from the respective table, and the unique field names in the row of the respective table to be used for the batch processing logic. The remaining portion of the data in the row of the respective table is not read out from the row. Batch processing is then performed on the read out data using the batch processing logic. The batch processed data is then written back into the same row of the respective table that the data was read out from.

The processor generates missing judgment result by judging whether the first node is missing according to a first amount of the first collection and a second amount of elements included in the second collection. The processor judges that whether the processor generates output data to the server based on original field data according to the missing judgment result to enable the server to operate correctly according to the completed output data.

The data compilation and execution device includes a storage device and a processor. The storage device is configured to store a compilation module and an interpretation module. The processor is coupled to the storage device and configured to receive encapsulation data. The processor executes the compilation module to match a matching compiler corresponding to the encapsulation data from compilers according to the encapsulation data. The compilation module executes a data compilation flow by the matching compiler to generate executable data according to the encapsulation data. The processor executes the interpretation module to execute a corresponding flow according to the executable data. The data compilation and execution device and the data compilation and execution method of the disclosure can automatically perform data encapsulation and task execution.
