Patent number: 10936503Abstract: A method for managing metadata in a scale out storage system is disclosed. The system includes a plurality of nodes, a storage pool, first metadata that maps logical addresses of logical data blocks to corresponding content identifiers, and second metadata that maps content identifiers to corresponding physical addresses of physical data blocks in the storage pool and maintains a reference count. During an add-a-node operation, the processors are configured to move from the existing nodes to the new node some of its physical data blocks, their content identifiers and reference counts in the second metadata without accessing or altering the first metadata. A method is disclosed to move a logical device from one node to another by de-activating the logical device's first metadata on the first node and activating and retrieving the logical device's first metadata on the second node.Type: GrantFiled: May 3, 2019Date of Patent: March 2, 2021Assignee: ORCA DATA TECHNOLOGY (XI'AN) CO., LTDInventors: Arthur James Beaverson, Bang Chang

Patent number: 10929815Abstract: Systems and methods for predicting the outcome of a business entity are presented. In embodiments, a system may receive explicit data reporting or indicating activities of a business entity, and other data from which information regarding the activities or level of operations of the entity may be inferred. Using one or more data processors, the system may generate inferred data regarding the business entity from a selected portion of the other data, and use at least some of the explicit data and the inferred data to determine which one of a series of defined sequential active states of development the entity currently is in. The system may further, using the result of the determination as the current state of the business, predict a final stage of the business entity, and a probability of evolving to that final stage from the current state. Other embodiments may be disclosed or claimed.Type: GrantFiled: March 14, 2017Date of Patent: February 23, 2021Assignee: BUILDGROUP DATA SERVICES INC.Inventors: Francisco J. Publication number: 20210038104Abstract: A method of computing a heart rate value compensates for noise derived from the subject, the sensor, the transmission, and/or other variables that can lead to false R-peak detection or missed R-peak detection. The method computes an updated heart rate based on a window of approximately ten seconds of digitized ECG readings broadcast from a sensor. A new value is calculated approximately every second such that the window of ECG readings overlaps considerably between consecutive calculations. The method compensates for noisy data by discarding heart rate samples that differ by more than a threshold amount from a previously calculated heart rate value. The threshold is adjusted based on a standard deviation of differences between heart rate samples. Prior to calculating a heart rate value, a forward-looking, pre-filter logic may be applied in situations where the raw data has an extremely low signal-to-noise ratio.Type: ApplicationFiled: January 14, 2020Publication date: February 11, 2021Applicant: SPORTS DATA LABS, INC.Inventors: Vivek KHARE, Viprali BHATKAR, Mark GORSKI, Stanley MIMOTO, Anuroop YADAV
