  • Patent number: 12108704
Abstract: Systems, methods, and apparatuses for automatically controlling a position of a reel relative to wing of an agricultural header in response to movement of the wing are disclosed. In some instances, a position of the reel, such as a portion of the reel, is located at a different position relative to the wing based on an amount of articulation of the wing, such as an amount of angular displacement of the wing relative to a datum, such as a center frame of the header.

  • Patent number: 12110855
Abstract: A fuel injector clamp has a clamp body extending between a fuel rail side and a cylinder head side. The fuel rail side has a bolt fixing surface extending in a first plane and a rail mounting surface extending in an oblique second plane relative to the first plane. The cylinder head side has a clamp mounting surface extending in a third plane parallel to the first plane. The clamp body defines a first bolt bore, a second bolt bore, and an injector pocket. The first bolt bore extends from the bolt fixing surface at the fuel rail side through the clamp body to the cylinder head side perpendicular to the bolt fixing surface and the clamp mounting surface. The second bolt bore extends from the rail mounting surface at the fuel rail side into the clamp body perpendicular to the rail mounting surface. The injector pocket extends through the clamp mounting surface perpendicularly through the clamp body to the rail mounting surface.

  • Patent number: 12112546
Abstract: A row vision system modifies automated operation of a vehicle based on edges detected between surfaces in the environment in which the vehicle travels. The vehicle may be a farming vehicle (e.g., a tractor) that operates using automated steering to perform farming operations that track an edge formed by a row of field work completed next to the unworked field area. A row vision system may access images of the field ahead of the tractor and apply models that identify surface types and detect edges between the identified surfaces (e.g., between worked and unworked ground). Using the detected edges, the system determines navigation instructions that modify the automated steering (e.g., direction) to minimize the error between current and desired headings of the vehicle, enabling the tractor to track the row of crops, edge of field, or edge of field work completed.

  • Patent number: 12110659
Abstract: A pilot neutralizing system of a work vehicle may include a pilot neutralizer and a first sensor. The work vehicle may include a frame assembly having a first frame portion and a second frame portion and an actuating assembly used to pivot the first frame portion relative to the second frame portion. The pilot neutralizer is electrically coupled to a controller and is hydraulically coupled between the operator control member and the steering valve to selectively provide a communication of a pilot signal. When an articulation position reaches a cushion region during steering, the pilot neutralizer is de-energized or energized to change the pilot signal at the steering valve to resist the actuating assembly from moving. The first sensor is coupled to the pilot neutralizer and detects a first value to diagnose the pilot neutralizer to determine whether the pilot neutralizer is incorrectly in a de-energized state or an energized state.

  • Patent number: 12112501
Abstract: Implementations are described herein for localizing individual plants using high-elevation images at multiple different resolutions. A first set of high-elevation images that capture the plurality of plants at a first resolution may be analyzed to classify a set of pixels as invariant anchor points. High-elevation images of the first set may be aligned with each other based on the invariant anchor points that are common among at least some of the first set of high-elevation images. A mapping may be generated between pixels of the aligned high-elevation images of the first set and spatially-corresponding pixels of a second set of higher-resolution high-elevation images. Based at least in part on the mapping, individual plant(s) of the plurality of plants may be localized within one or more of the second set of high-elevation images for performance of one or more agricultural tasks.

  • Patent number: 12104351
Abstract: A work implement includes a support controller disposed in communication with a hydraulic lift cylinder. The support controller initiates a control activation signal for commanding movement of the hydraulic lift cylinder to move the head support from an initial start position to a commanded support position. The support controller determines a stop signal position based on the current rate of movement of the head support toward the commanded support position. The stop signal position may further be based on a current fluid pressure of an associated float system. The support controller ceases or stops the control activation signal when the head support reaches the stop signal position, whereby the head support decelerates over a distance after cessation of the control activation signal such that the head support substantially stops movement at the commanded support position.

  • Patent number: 12102024
Abstract: A system and a method are disclosed for determining a heading of a vehicle and a heading of an implement of a farming machine when the farming machine is stationary or moving at a speed below a threshold speed. The vehicle and the heading are attached together via a pivot hitch. A farming machine management system receives coordinates from a first location sensor coupled to the vehicle and a second location sensor coupled to the implement. The farming machine management system determines intersection points between a first circle centered at the first location sensor and a second circle centered at the second location sensor. The farming machine management system selects one of the intersection points based on an output of a machine learning model. The farming machine management system determines the headings of the vehicle and the implement and generates instructions for operating the farming machine based on the headings.

  • Publication number: 20240315174
Abstract: One or more techniques and/or systems are disclosed for automatically adjusting settings on a baler based at least on the characteristics of a previously formed or forming bale. A baler collects a target crop and forms a bale. During or after formation of the bale, sensors collect data that is indicative of bale characteristics, including mass flow, shape, size, density, wrap and twine control, amongst other for the bale. A baler controller can use the identified bale characteristics to determine baler settings adjustments, for the baler, that can bring the bale, or subsequent bale, into specification based on predetermined thresholds for the bale characteristics. Further, actuators can operably adjust the baler settings on the fly.
