  • Patent number: 6766425
Abstract: A method for computer memory calibration includes flashing a calibration from a processor into two flash memory sections. Either the same or an alternate processor requests data stored in one of the flash memory sections. Subsequently, exception handler logic within an exception mechanism activates and generates an exception for the data stored in the aforementioned flash memory section. The calibration in the other flash memory section then transfers to the processor through the functioning of the exception.

  • Publication number: 20040135432
Abstract: A hybrid brake apparatus for a vehicle includes a front hydraulically actuated brake circuit, a rear electrically actuated brake circuit, and a controller. The front hydraulically actuated brake circuit includes a master cylinder for providing pressurized fluid to the front brake circuit in response to an input applied to the master cylinder for applying a frictional front braking force. The rear electrically actuated brake circuit is controllable in response to the input for providing a frictional rear braking force. The rear brake circuit is controlled in accordance with a first predetermined relationship between the input and rear braking force during normal operation of the front brake circuit. If the controller detects a degradation of front braking force, the rear brake circuit is controlled in accordance with a second predetermined relationship between the input and the rear braking force, to thereby compensate for the degradation of front braking force.

  • Patent number: 6762427
Abstract: Electromagnetic radiation is directed from an optical grating in a regular array of beams in rows and columns toward a target object surface; and the reflected beams are focused through a lens to form beam images on an image plane of a single camera. Each of the beam images has a position on the image plane that moves substantially linearly with variation of a target distance between the optical grating and a point on the object surface from which that beam image is reflected; and the direction of the substantially linear movement of each beam image forms a predetermined angle with the column of the array of beam images on the image plane to which that beam belongs at a common target distance.

  • Patent number: 6761568
Abstract: An electrical connector assembly has a male connector which mates to a female connector thereby electrically engaging male terminal blades, locked to a male connector body, to female terminals locked to a female connector body. The blade of each male terminal extends into a blind bore defined by a shroud of the male connector body. Prior to mating of the electrical connector assembly, a self-aligning blade stabilizer is snap fitted into a blade alignment position with the male connector via a lock arm which prevents withdrawal of the stabilizer from the male connector and a flex arm which restricts insertion of the stabilizer into the male connector. When the stabilizer is in the blade alignment position, the tips of the blades are disposed within respective apertures of the stabilizer and aligned to their respective female terminals.

  • Patent number: 6761070
Abstract: A linear accelerometer is provided having a substrate, a fixed electrode supported on the substrate and including a first plurality of fixed capacitive plates, and an inertial mass substantially suspended over a cavity and including a plurality of movable capacitive plates arranged to provide a capacitive coupling with the first plurality of fixed capacitive plates. The inertial mass is linearly movable relative to the fixed electrode. A central member is fixed to the substrate. Support arms support the inertial mass relative to the fixed electrode and allow linear movement of the inertial mass upon experiencing a linear acceleration along a sensing axis, and prevent linear movement along a nonsensing axis. Inputs and output lines are electrically coupled to the fixed electrode and the inertial mass. An output signal is generated which varies as a function of the capacitive coupling and is indicative of linear acceleration along the sensing axis.
