  • Patent number: 6743281
Abstract: A fluid filtration system, such as an ambient air cleaner, employs a measurement mechanism to determine the amount of fluid flow through the system. The measurement system provides data or actuates an indicator. The indicator may have a pointer to indicate fluid flow along a gradient display that contains numeric information and/or is color coded. Alternatively, fluid flow may be displayed electronically. The indicator may be protected within a separate housing that projects from a filtration unit housing or may be disposed within a recess of the filtration unit housing.

  • Patent number: 6615701
Abstract: A cutting device, such as a beveling miter saw, includes a base, a work table supported on the base, and a cutting unit operably connected to the base. The work table includes a workpiece support surface and a stop portion. The cutting unit is selectively rotatable about a first axis between leftward and rightward bevel positions relative to the workpiece support surface. A rotatable stop member is coupled to the cutting unit and is selectively rotatable relative to the cutting unit to selectively contact the stop portion to thereby prevent rotation of the cutting unit in one direction about the first axis. The rotatable stop member and the stop portion may be positioned so that those elements contact when the cutting unit is at a predetermined bevel position, such as a vertical (0°) bevel position, relative to the workpiece support surface.

  • Patent number: 6561062
Abstract: A lathe having a bed is supported on two legs. In one embodiment, the bed is hollow and has with an inner portion into which a weight enhancing material may be inserted. The bed may include two tubular members separated by spacers. The tubular members may have cross-sections that increase stiffness. In another embodiment, the bed is attached to a support assembly that includes first and second hollow legs, which may also contain weight-enhancing ballast. The first leg may be attached to a first hollow foot and the second leg may be attached to a second hollow foot. A stabilizer bar may be inserted in each foot for increased stability. Pairs of wheel assemblies may be attached to the first and second feet. In yet another embodiment, the lathe includes a headstock having a housing slidable along the bed. The housing encloses a motor that drives a shaft having two spindle ends protruding from the housing.
