Abstract: An adjustable tool station which includes a subframe, a table portion rotatably attached to the subframe, wherein the table portion includes an upper surface defining a work support plane, a tool mounted to the table portion, and a fence fixed to the subframe and extending above the work support plane, wherein the fence includes a first side and a second, opposite side. The first side constitutes a workpiece guide surface, and defines a workpiece guide area which includes all points which are closer to the first side than the second side. All portions of the subframe located within the workpiece guide area are located below the work support plane.
Abstract: A method for connecting an attachment to a drill press includes: providing an alignment member including a first portion and a second portion, and having a central axis; securing the first portion of the alignment member within the chuck; connecting the attachment to the drill press so that at least a region of the second portion of the alignment member is disposed within the void; and removing the alignment member from the chuck and the void. A mortising apparatus for a drill press is also disclosed, the drill press including a rotatable chuck. The mortising apparatus includes a mortising chisel holder and a mortising chisel holder alignment member.
Abstract: An eccentric orbit abrading apparatus includes a housing having a base for supporting the abrading apparatus on a surface. A workpiece support member is mounted on the housing and provides a surface for supporting the workpiece thereon. A motor is mounted in the housing and includes a motor shaft that may selectively rotate about a first rotational axis. A transmission transmits the rotational motion of the motor shaft to a platen so that as the motor shaft rotates, the platen is caused to rotate about a second rotational axis that is offset from and orbits about the first rotational axis.

Abstract: A clamping device for securing an object includes a body having a block and a pin mounted thereon. The block is movably mounted on the body and preferably may move relative to the body along a line that is oblique to a center line of the body. The block may be in a first position, at which the surface of the block contacts or is adjacent to the pin's perimeter, and a second position, at which a distance between the surface of the block and the pin's perimeter is greater than when said block is in said first position.
Abstract: A yoke for mounting a saw blade to a reciprocating saw, the yoke adapted to be received by a mounting support on the reciprocating saw. The yoke includes first and second arms and a region connecting the first and second arms, the first and second arms having ends for receiving the end of a saw blade. The first and second arms and the connecting region are hollow and are formed of a composite material.
Abstract: A scroll saw having a yoke for mounting a saw blade thereto, the yoke adapted to be received by a mounting support on the reciprocating saw. The yoke includes first and second arms and a region connecting the first and second arms, the first and second arms having ends for receiving the end of a saw blade. The first and second arms and the connecting region are formed of a composite material.

The first side constitutes a workpiece guide surface, and defines a workpiece guide area which includes all points which are closer to the first side than the second side. All portions of the subframe located within the workpiece guide area are located below the work support plane. Additionally, the subframe includes a wear ring which is fixed to the base portion between the table portion and the base portion, the wear ring having at least three arcuate wear zones.
Abstract: An adjustment mechanism for adjusting the position of a surface relative to a first element includes a first arm having first and second members. One of the first and second members is pivotally mounted to the first element about a first axis. The other of the first and second members is pivotally mounted to a second element, having the surface thereon, about a second axis. The first member includes a first bore therein, and at least a portion of the second member is received by and is slidably movable within the first bore. A locking mechanism selectively restrains sliding movement of the second member within the first bore to thereby adjust the length of the first arm and vary the position of the surface relative to the first element.
