Abstract: The present invention is a device that attaches to a light source to transmit and distribute light energy to the surface or internal chamber of a tooth for the purpose of photo-initiation of light curing resins and dental tooth whitening. More particularly, the invention may be used with a single or multiple Light Emitting Diode(s) to more efficiently collect and transmit the light energy emitted by the LED(s) resulting in increased total energy, uniform illumination, and collimation of the light energy delivered to the tooth.
Abstract: A user-fabricated mouth guard wherein the user's teeth and gums are not directly exposed to the uncured mouth guard material. The uncured mouth guard material is pliant at room temperature and does not have to be heated to form and shape the mouth guard. The cured mouth guard call be pliant or rigid at room temperature. A kit and a method of forming the mouth guard are also disclosed.
Abstract: Stain-removal, desensitizing, anti-tartar and anti-gingivitis dentifrice compositions. The dentifrices comprise a fluoride agent; an abrasive agent; a proteolytic agent; a foaming agent; a sweetening/flavoring agent; an emulsifying agent; either desensitizing, anti-tartar or anti-gingivitis agents or combinations thereof; and a delivery agent. The dentifrices are visually pleasing and impart a soothing sensation during and after brushing.
