  • Patent number: 6203199
Abstract: A linear guide device comprises a guide carriage having two end assemblies (32, 34, 36) arranged on the front ends of the guide carriage. The guide carriage is guided on a guide rail in the direction of the longitudinal axis of the device by means of rolling member loops (S1, S2). Within the end units (32) of the end assemblies (32, 34, 36) are provided parts of reversing guides for arcuate rows of rolling members of the rolling member loops (S1, S2). A lubricant path system (110, 114, 116, 120) is provided within the guide carriage for satisfying a lubricant demand existing on the roll surfaces of the linear guide device. The lubricant path system includes, in a boundary region between an end unit (32) and a carriage main body, a lubricant oil supply capillary line (110) extending in circumferential direction of the guide rail and being formed of a suction member. The lubricant oil supply capillary line supplies lubricating oil to a licking region (114) irrespective of the existence of a pressure difference.

  • Patent number: 5974904
Abstract: A linear guide device comprises a guide base on which a runner assembly is movably guided in the direction of a longitudinal axis of the guide base. The runner assembly is driven along the longitudinal axis by a drive spindle that is in threaded engagement with a drive nut on the runner assembly. For additional support of the drive spindle there is a pair of spindle support units, one unit on either side of the runner assembly. A traction rope formed as an endless loop connects the two spindle support units and is reversed over a pulley at the ends of the guide base. The traction rope moves freely past the runner assembly such that the spindle support units are displaceable along the longitudinal axis by abutment of the runner assembly against one of the spindle support units, the other spindle support unit being towed along the guide base in following relation by the traction rope.

  • Patent number: 5195391
Abstract: A generally U-shaped guide carriage is linearly guided on a longitudinally-extending rail track by at least one circuit of roller balls carried by each of the depending flanges of the U-shaped guide carriage. Each ball circuit includes a linear load-bearing row and a linear return row of roller balls. The load-bearing balls bear against facing ball rolling tracks carried by the opposite sides of the rail track. A cross member is connected adjacent one end of the rail track and carries rolling track engagement faces for engaging the ball rolling tracks on the rail track. An entraining unit is connected to the guide carriage, and a linear drive is coupled between the cross member and entraining unit for driving the guide carriage along the rail track. In another embodiment, a common steel insert is carried by each depending flange of the U-shaped guide carriage and supports the load-bearing row or rows of the associated ball circuits.
