  • Patent number: 5161896
Abstract: In a rolling bearing for linear movements, two rolling member circuits arranged between one arm of a U-shaped guide carriage and a lateral face of a guide rail, are substantially perpendicular to one another with their force transmission planes and are substantially parallel to one another with their circuit planes. All rollers have parallel axes in each of the two roller circuits. The load-transmitting row of rollers and the return row of rollers are offset from one another in the axial direction of the rollers in both roller circuits.

  • Patent number: 5152614
Abstract: A linear ball bush comprises a cage having a cage axis and a plurality of ball circuits, at least one ball circuit comprising two straight ball rows substantially parallel to the cage axis and two curved ball rows connecting the two straight ball rows, and a plurality of runner plates which each provide for the guidance of the ball circuit. The runner plates comprise straight track sections continued with substantially constant profile over their entire length, and between these a middle rib which is continued to each of the runner plate ends with substantially constant profile. The curved track sections connect the straight track sections and pass transversely through the middle rib.

  • Patent number: 5097716
Abstract: A guide carriage is guided on a rail track. At the two ends of the rail track, cross-members are mounted. Between the cross-members there extends a drive device. A drive element of the drive device is drivingly connected with the guide carriage. The resultant driving force of the drive device lies outside the longitudinal axis of the rail track. For achieving better acceptance of tilting moments, the guide carriage is guided on the rail track by ball circuits. The rows of supporting balls of the ball circuits bear against rolling tracks, which are formed symmetrically on either side of the longitudinally central plane of the rail track on this track. The force transmission planes of the supporting rows of balls diverge towards the longitudinal plane of symmetry and each make an angle with this plane of approximately 45.degree.. The drive device may, in particular, be mounted laterally of one flange of the U-shaped guide carriage, or above the web of this guide carriage.

  • Patent number: 5059037
Abstract: An anti-friction bearing for linear movements comprising a bearing body (10) which is guided movable on a rail (12) in a longitudinal direction thereof. The bearing body has legs (18a, b) accommodating at least one part of the rail (12) between them and a web (20) connecting these legs (18a, b) in one piece. At least one rolling body cycle (A-D) allocated to each of the legs (18a, b) has one load-transmitting rolling body row (A1-D1) in engagement with one load-receiving running path (B13, D13) of the respective leg (18a, b) and with one running path (A12-D12) at one side face of the rail (12) said side face being adjacent to said leg (18a, b). The load-transmitting rolling body rows (A1-D1) are preloadable between the respective allocated paths (B13, D13; A12-D12) and this preload is adjustable by preloading means (30).

  • Patent number: 5044779
Abstract: In a linear ball bush of part-annular form it is proposed that part-annular seals are secured against rotation about the cage axis by shape-locking engagement with a cage and are movable radially in relation to the cage axis over their substantially entire circumferential extent. Further it is proposed that longitudinal seal strips each comprise a root part received by a longitudinal groove of the cage and a tongue part resting on the shaft, these longitudinal sealing strips being provided with projections at their ends which rest under a longitudinal tension against an axially directed support shoulder of the cage.

  • Patent number: 5033870
Abstract: A linear guide comprises a guide rail and a U-shaped slide overlapping the guide rail in a carrier-like manner. The slide is guided on the guide rail by ball circuits. Recesses in the guide rail are provided which allow placing of the slide on the guide rail and removal of the slide from the guide rail in a direction perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the guide rail.

  • Patent number: 4989996
Abstract: A linear ball bush, wherein at least one straight ball row of a ball circuit bears radially outwardly against a running plate, which is inserted in an associated aperture of a cage and possesses an outer face for bearing against an inner circumferential surface of a bearing housing bore seating the cage, is filled in the manner that the balls, with the running plate tilted at one end out of the aperture, are introduced via a filling slope at the open end of the aperture and/or a filling chamfer at the outwardly tilted end of the running plate into a straight portion of a track, and that after the balls of the ball circuit have been completed, the running plate is tilted back into an operating position and is secured in the operating position.

  • Patent number: 4778041
Abstract: A rolling support device or ball roller comprises a main ball housed in a casing comprising a substantially hemispherical bearing bush, an outer shell and a retaining ring assembly connected to the outer shell to retain the main ball and the bearing bush therein with a portion of the ball exposed through the ring to contact a member to be supported thereby; the outer shell is shaped to be received in an opening in a supporting member and the retaining ring defines a shoulder determining the limit of insertion; resilient tongues projecting from the casing act to retain the device in such an opening, for which purpose the tongues have an elbow portion each provided with at least one radially outwardly projecting tooth for biting into the side wall of an opening receiving the device to resist withdrawal thereof.

  • Patent number: 4743124
Abstract: An anti-friction bearing is provided in which two cage halves have end plates inserted in the bearing main body. The end plates have bearing member deflection surfaces. Retaining webs originating from the end plates abut one another in a plane normal to the axis. The bearing members (e.g. balls or rollers) are deflected on deflection surfaces inside the end plates. The retaining webs are designed in such a way that, in each case, two retaining webs in alignment with one another and originating from end plates located opposite one another are sufficient to hold the load-transmitting bearing member rows of two bearing member circuits in engagement with the respective bearing member tracks of the bearing main body.
