A pivoting support is located between the mixing frame assembly and a base. A damper in the form of an annular ring is used to damp pivoting movement of the mixing frame assembly. Various pivoting mounts may be used to pivotably support the mixing frame on a base. A bushing provides accommodation of a misaligned spring mounting end turn using a V-groove to retain the spring mounting end turn, and may include an eccentric feature to allow adjustment of the spring mounting length.

A clamping frame is driven by a shaft maintained in concentricity with a stationary ring gear by an antifriction bearing mounted between the shaft and ring gear. A support plate has a peripheral lip forming a first recess sized to position either a generally square paint container or a generally D-shaped paint container. The support plate has a second recess to position a cylindrical paint container concentric to a spin axis.

Abstract: Pruning scissors comprise a blade and a counter-blade each integral with a grip and mounted so as to be pivoted around a threaded swivel pin cooperating with an adjusting nut of the blade and counter-blade. The nut is rotationally integral with a toothed wheel meshed with a retainer toothed member attached to the pruning scissors counter-blade through a blocking screw. The toothed wheel has an axial opening whose outline corresponds to the external outline of the adjusting nut and is adapted to be inserted around the nut. The retainer toothed member is a toothed gear and the toothed wheel and the toothed gear comprise a respective complementary device adapted to retain the toothed wheel around the nut against any axial movement when the gear is meshed with the toothed wheel.

Abstract: A paint mixing machine having at least two axes for spinning either of a cylindrical or rectangular paint container to mix the paint in the container. The machine includes a stationary base frame carrying a mixing apparatus and an intermediate frame between the stationary base frame and the mixing apparatus. The intermediate frame is connected to the mixing apparatus and the stationary base frame by a plurality of vibration isolators. The intermediate frame includes damping weight to balance the deflection of the damping isolators. The base may also include one or more damping weights.

Abstract: A method for fabricating a p-n heterojunction device is provided, the device being preferably comprised of an n-type GaN layer co-doped with silicon and zinc and a p-type AlGaN layer. The device may also include a p-type GaN capping layer. The device can be grown on any of a variety of different base substrates, the base substrate comprised of either a single substrate or a single substrate and an intermediary layer. The device can be grown directly onto the surface of the substrate without the inclusion of a low temperature buffer layer.

A clamp motor drives a clamping apparatus toward a paint container and a current rise signals engagement of the clamp with the container, whereupon a selection is made from a predetermined set of forces to apply to the container based on the time of energization and voltage applied to the clamp motor.

Abstract: A system and method of using a computer for creating video clips of activities occurring during a performance, such as a sporting event, are provided. A computer is used for controlling a first video recorder to prepare a video recording of the performance. A database associated with the computer also is created for storing information regarding events occurring during the performance. A plurality of pre-defined events that may occur during the performance are recognized by this database. Using a mouse, keyboard or other computer input device, an operator identifies the occurrence of a pre-defined event during the performance. A corresponding signal is transmitted to the database identifying the location on the video recording where the activity corresponding to the pre-defined event is recorded. Using the computer to control a second video recorder, a series of clips, and associated data regarding the clips, are recorded from the first video recording and database onto a second video recording.

Abstract: A keyed paint container holder for paint mixers having a pivoting interlock key movable with respect to a paint container receptacle of the holder for orienting a rectangular footprint paint container to have a handle of the paint container in a corner of the holder adjacent the interlock key. The interlock key has first and second portions and is pivotable with respect to the holder to at least first and second positions and, optionally, to a third position. The holder accepts a cylindrical paint container as an alternative to the rectangular footprint paint container.
