  • Patent number: 10631419
Abstract: A mounting bracket comprising a first (top) surface with a slot, second (bottom) surface, and a shield (front) surface extending between the top and bottom surfaces, and two side (right and left) surfaces coupled with the top, bottom, and front surfaces. A cavity is formed by the top, bottom, front, left, and right surfaces. Mounts on the top surface enable a housing to be mounted on the top surface. Mounts coupled with the left and right edge surfaces enable the bracket to mounted on an external surface. Optionally, the top surface may further comprise a hidden mount on the distal edge of the top surface, the hidden mount is hidden when a housing is mounted on the top surface and/or a security pin. When the bracket is mounted to an external surface, the slot in the top surface allows a connector to extend from the cavity to the housing.

  • Publication number: 20200082657
Abstract: A center-alignment apparatus for use in an ATM has a transport mechanism to transport a document into the ATM. One or more plates operable in tandem to move the document toward a centerline of a path the document is to travel. Edge-detection sensor(s) on the plate sense an edge of the document when the plate(s) is moved toward the centerline. A translate/rotate mechanism translates and rotates the document while the translate/rotate mechanism transversely moves the document toward the center until another edge-detection sensor detects an edge of the document to create a parallel-aligned document. The control logic controls the plate(s) to centers the parallel-aligned document about the centerline to create a centered document.

  • Patent number: 10565576
Abstract: A system provides for a self-checkout terminal with various components. A receiver receives shopping data including prices of items that a customer has physically acquired or placed in a cart. A payment logic receives credential information associated with a monetary account for paying for the items. A message logic creates checkout data that includes data representing the collection of purchase items. A transmitter transmits the credential information to an account network for authentication and the receiver receives a response indicating if the monetary account is valid. The payment logic/self-checkout terminal indicates to the customer that a payment using the monetary account for the purchase items is authorized or not. When authorized, an authorization is received at the self-checkout terminal before the customer arrives at the terminal and the self-checkout terminal causes a payment transaction to be executed to provide for self-checkout using the monetary account without assistance by another person.
