Patent number: 4403565Abstract: An emergency warning device comprising a base, three arms extending upwardly from the base to define an equilateral triangle, one of the arms extending horizontally on the base and the other two arms extending upwardly. Each arm has reflective and fluorescent means on opposed surfaces thereof. Vane devices are constructed and arranged, shaped and positioned on the equilateral triangle and such that air flow against a face of the triangle produces a downward force tending to prevent movement of the device relative to a road surface.Type: GrantFiled: March 11, 1981Date of Patent: September 13, 1983Assignee: Dominion Auto Accessories LimitedInventors: Arthur F. Patent number: 4205366Abstract: An emergency warning lamp comprising a base, a mounting plate mounted on the base, and an electric motor mounted on the plate having an output shaft extending upwardly through the plate. A bushing is disposed centrally of the base on the plate, and a plastic gear is rotatably mounted on the bushing. A pinion meshes with the gear and is fixed to the shaft of the motor. A lamp bulb is mounted on the bushing. A heat shield overlies the gears and is supported by one of the gears for rotation. A reflector is mounted on the heat shield for rotation therewith. Electrical leads extend from a source of power, one of the leads comprising a ground lead and the others comprising power leads. One of the power leads extends through the bushing to the lamp. The other of the power leads extends to the winding of the motor. The housing of the motor is grounded to the metal plate and the ground lead is connected to the metal plate. The current flows through the bulb to the bushing and in turn to the mounting plate.Type: GrantFiled: December 27, 1976Date of Patent: May 27, 1980Assignee: Dominion Auto Accessories LimitedInventors: Arthur F. Patent number: 4198027Abstract: A lamp comprising socket mounting assembly which includes a retainer engaging the interior of said hollow portion of said housing. The retainer has an opening therein and a shock absorbing mount member extends through the opening. The member is made of resilient material and has spaced annular flanges extending along opposite sides of the retainer. One of the flanges has circumferentially spaced integral protuberances extending axially and engaging one surface of the retainer for holding the opposite surface of the retainer against the opposite flange. The shock mounting member has an axially extending opening therein. A socket retainer has a planar surface engaging the end of the shock mounting member. The socket retainer has portions thereof crimped into engagement with the periphery of the shock mounting member. A socket member has an end with a reduced diameter extending through the opening in the socket retainer and the end is crimped outwardly.Type: GrantFiled: May 8, 1978Date of Patent: April 15, 1980Assignee: Dominion Auto Accessories LimitedInventor: Karel Urbanek

Patent number: 4186905Abstract: A truck mirror comprising a U-shaped support on which a mirror is pivotally mounted. The ends of arms of the support are pivoted to vertically spaced brackets that are adapted to be mounted on the truck. Pivot means are provided between the ends of the support arms and the brackets and comprise two members of low friction material fixed to the arms. The pivot members define a chamber in which an axially movable member is positioned. One of the pivot members has axially extending circumferentially spaced grooves therein and a movable member has complementary projections. The movable member is yieldingly urged toward the member having the grooves such that the mirror is held in angularly adjusted position but may be readily moved to a new angular position by manual manipulation.Type: GrantFiled: September 13, 1976Date of Patent: February 5, 1980Assignee: Dominion Auto Accessories LimitedInventor: Otto Brudy
