Abstract: The present disclosure provides a connector and a connector assembly. The connector includes a plurality of guiding blocks and at least one connection port. Each of the plurality of guiding blocks has a first surface, a second surface opposite to the first surface, and a third surface adjacent to the first surface and the second surface. A first guiding groove is disposed on the first surface. A second guiding groove is disposed on the second surface. An engaging hole is inserted between the first guiding groove and the second guiding groove. A locking hole is disposed on the third surface. Each of the at least one connection port is disposed on two adjacent guiding blocks of the plurality of guiding blocks. The connector may be used with a mating connector having fixing bars to engage in the guiding grooves or alternatively with a mating connector having locking pieces to engage in the locking holes.

Abstract: An electrical connector, for being mounted on a circuit board, includes a metal shell and a terminal module. The metal shell includes a mounting surface to be matched with the circuit board. The terminal module includes a number of conductive terminals, an insulating block, a ground shielding piece and a number of cables. The conductive terminals include a number of pairs of differential signal terminals, a number of first ground terminals, and a number of second ground terminals. The ground shielding piece connects the first ground terminals and the second ground terminals in series. Each conductive terminal includes a mating elastic arm extending beyond the mounting surface. The mating elastic arm includes a contact portion for pressing against a conductive pad of the circuit board, thereby improving the installation convenience of the electrical connector.

Abstract: A backplane connector includes a housing and a number of terminal modules. Each terminal module includes a number of conductive terminals, a metal shield surrounding member, a first metal shield and a second metal shield. The conductive terminal includes a mating portion and a tail portion. The conductive terminals include a first signal terminal and a second signal terminal. The metal shield surrounding member surrounds the mating portions of the first signal terminal and the second signal terminal. The first metal shield and the second metal shield are in contact with the metal shield surrounding member. As a result, the shielding area is increased and the shielding effect is improved.

Abstract: A backplane connector includes a number of wafers and a spacer for assembling the number of wafers together. Each wafer includes an insulating frame. The insulating frame includes a first protrusion. The spacer includes a body portion. The body portion has a number of slots for holding the first protrusions of the wafers. A periphery of each slot is surrounded by the body portion. Compared with the prior art, the spacer of the present disclosure is provided with a number of slots for holding the first protrusions of the wafers. As a result, the wafers can be easily assembled and fixed as a whole.

Abstract: A terminal module includes a number of conductive terminals and an insulating frame. Each conductive terminal includes a contact portion. The conductive terminals include a first signal terminal and a second signal terminal. The contact portion of the first signal terminal includes a first contact arm, a second contact arm and a first clamping space. The terminal module includes an insulating block sleeved on the first contact arm and the second contact arm, and a metal shield surrounding member sleeved on the insulating block. The insulating block includes a limiting groove and the metal shield surrounding member includes a limiting protrusion protruding into the limiting groove. As a result, it facilitates to assemble the insulating block and the metal shield surrounding member. The present disclosure also relates to a backplane connector having the terminal module.

Abstract: An electrical connector includes an insulating body, a number of first conductive terminals and a number of second conductive terminals. The insulating body includes a mating slot for receiving a mating board. Each first conductive terminal includes a first extension arm having a first mating portion. Each second conductive terminal includes a second extension arm having a second mating portion. The first mating portion and the second mating portion are adapted to jointly clamp the mating board. Extension directions of the first extension arm and the second extension arm are opposite to each other. The first conductive terminals or the second conductive terminals include at least one radio frequency signal terminal for transmitting a radio frequency signal.

Abstract: An electrical connector assembly includes an electrical connector and a metal casing. The electrical connector includes an insulating body and a number of conductive terminals. The insulating body includes a slot. Each conductive terminal includes an abutting portion. The metal casing includes a receiving cavity. When a mating connector is inserted into the receiving cavity and has not yet made contact with the conductive terminals of the electrical connector, a better shielding effect can be achieved. Some of the abutting portions are adapted for electrically connecting with a circuit board, and some of the abutting portions of the conductive terminals are connected with a cable. The metal casing includes a hook portion locking with a lock surface of the circuit board. Therefore, the metal casing can be prevented from detaching from the circuit board in case an external force is applied to pull the cable.

An outer surface of the two buckling bumps in a second direction orthogonal to the first direction and away from the wire end accommodating part respectively comprises a buckling recess. The unlocking member comprises two opposite unlocking arms. An outer side edge of the two unlocking arms comprises a wire end buckling part and an unlocking part. The unlocking member is configured to cause the unlocking parts to releases the wire end buckling part to a release position.

Abstract: The application discloses a flat cable assembly, which includes a plurality of cables arranged in a row and an insulating film. The cables have a center line and include connecting portions, a signal wire and a grounding wire respectively. The connection portions are located on one side of the center line. The insulating film is disposed on the connecting portion of any one of the cables and located on one side of the central line. The cables are exposed from the insulating film. The insulating film is disposed on a single side of the cables, whereby the cables are exposed from the insulating film. The flat cable assembly is easily manufactured and the amount of the cables therein can be varied according to real practice condition. The grounding wire is integrated to each cable, whereby the flat cable assembly has an excellent anti-EMI effect and performance in signal transmission.

The insulating housing includes a body portion and a locking portion located on one side of the body portion. The unlocking mechanism cooperates with the locking portion and is configured to drive the first end portion to move in a first direction and drive the second end portion to move in a second direction. The present disclosure also provides a cable connector assembly. By providing the unlocking mechanism matched with the insulating housing, it facilitates the unlocking between the cable connector and the mating connector.

The conductive terminals extend along a mating direction. The conductive terminal includes a tail portion and a mating portion. The cable includes a core electrically connected to the tail portion. The conductive terminals include differential signal terminals, a first ground terminal and a second ground terminal. Compared with the prior art, the electrical connector of the present disclosure is a cable electrical connector. Besides, the conductive terminal extends along the mating direction, thereby simplifying the structural design of the conductive terminal. The present disclosure also discloses an electrical connector assembly having the electrical connector.

The second insulator is at least partially wrapped on the second metal conductor. The first metal conductor is adapted to transmit a first signal. The second metal conductor is adapted to transmit a second signal. The cable also includes an intermediate layer material at least partially wound on the first insulator and the second insulator. A dielectric constant of the intermediate layer material is lower than that of the first insulator, and the dielectric constant of the intermediate layer material is lower than that of the second insulator. With this arrangement, the cable of the present disclosure is capable of realizing low mode conversion and improving the high frequency characteristics.

At least one signal terminal is disposed between two adjacent ground terminals. The insulating body is disposed at the plurality of terminals. One end of each terminal protrudes from one side of the insulating body, while the other end is exposed from the insulating body. The first electromagnetic shielding member is disposed at one side of the insulating body and is connected with the plurality of ground terminals. The second electromagnetic shielding member is disposed at the other side of the insulating body and is opposite to the first electromagnetic shielding member.

Abstract: An optical electrical connector includes a casing, a printed circuit board, an electronic chip, a photoelectric conversion component, and a heat sink device. The casing includes an electrical port and an optical port. A receiving space is defined between the electrical port and the optical port. The printed circuit board extends longitudinally along a first direction. The printed circuit board includes a main body portion located in the receiving space and a front end portion exposed in the electrical port. The electronic chip, the photoelectric conversion component and the heat sink device are all accommodated in the receiving space. The electronic chip and the photoelectric conversion component are not only disposed on the printed circuit board, but also electrically connected to the printed circuit board. The heat sink device is disposed on the casing and faces the electronic chip for conducting the heat accumulated on the electronic chip.

The first metal shield is in contact with the first ground terminals. The present disclosure increases the shielding area and improves the quality of signal transmission. The present disclosure also relates to an electrical connector assembly and an electrical connector module including the above-mentioned electrical connector.

Abstract: A terminal module includes an insulating member, a number of conductive terminals, and a conductive plastic. Each conductive terminal includes a fixing portion. The conductive terminals include a group of signal terminals, a first ground terminal and a second ground terminal. The terminal module includes a first rib, a second rib and a groove. The first rib is adjacent to but not in contact with the fixing portion of the first ground terminal. The second rib is adjacent to but not in contact with the fixing portion of the second ground terminal. The present disclosure also relates to a backplane connector having the terminal module. Compared with the prior art, by making the first ground terminal and the second ground terminal non-conducting, it easier to determine the accuracy of the electrical test.
