Abstract: Provided is a fishing reel having a magnet disposed in a circumferential direction crossing the axial direction of a spool and, more particularly, a fishing reel that can increase a braking force control range even without an increase in size and can maximize a casting distance by preventing backlash and preventing reduction of a casting distance due to a braking force by using a magnet brake. The fishing reel includes a spool having a drum on which a fishing line is wound, and a magnet brake including a holder disposed on a side of the spool and a magnet mounted on the holder in a circumferential direction crossing an axial direction of the spool to have inner and outer facing surfaces and generating a braking force to the spool.

Abstract: Provided is a fishing reel spool that has a line knot hider. The spool for a fishing reel includes a knot hider for hiding a knot of a fishing line inside the surface of a winding part such that a line is uniformly wound on the winding section without a knot exposed outside the surface of the winding section, thereby not interfering with thumbing in casting and enabling even a beginner to easily connect and use a fishing line without connecting a fishing line to a spool using a complicated knotting manner. The spool for a fishing ring includes a drum-shaped winding part mounted on a reel body by a shaft and configured to wind a fishing line on an outer surface thereof, and a knot hider configured to hide a knot of the fishing line inside a surface of the winding part.

Abstract: Provided are a spool braking device and a fishing reel equipped with the spool braking device. In the spool braking device, a magnet holder with a magnet moves toward an axial direction of a spool using eddy current and thus controls a rotational speed of the spool through a varying magnetic force acting on a braking plate of the spool. The spool braking device is capable of preventing a decrease in a distance a lure travels during casting when the spool is rotated at a low speed and preventing a backlash phenomenon through a braking operation suitable for high-speed rotation of the spool.

Abstract: A fishing reel having a movable inertia brake including braking magnets and a brake pad is provided. The fishing reel maximizes the advantages of a centrifugal brake, a magnet brake, and an inertia brake of the related art, such as abrasion prevention, the ability to prevent a decrease in the flying distance in casting when a spool is rotated at a low speed, and the ability to be used compatibly for a left-handed or right-handed handle. The fishing reel includes a spool plate including a spool cam, a brake pad, and a movable cam. The spool cam is fitted to a hub of a spool to rotate together with the spool, and has a pressing portion protruding to one side such that a lowest point and a highest point are connected on an incline in a radial direction.

In the fishing reel, a user may adjust a braking force to use according to his or her fishing method by utilizing only advantages of conventional centrifugal brakes, magnet brakes, and inertial force brakes, the advantages including prevention of pad wear, prevention of casting distance reduction and backlash when a spool rotates at a low speed, compatible use tailored to left-handed or right-handed handles, etc.
