  • Patent number: 7896418
Abstract: A covering is provided for a gap behind at least one rear seatback in a motor vehicle, which gap is provided in the transverse direction of the vehicle between the rear seatback and a luggage compartment covering. The covering has at least one covering flap which is held in position on a housing of the luggage compartment covering, is mounted pivotably about a hinge and, in a use position, bears under prestress against the rear seatback. An integrated receptacle for the hinge of the covering flap is provided on an upper and, as seen in the direction of travel, front region of the housing of the luggage compartment covering.

  • Patent number: 7891581
Abstract: A cover of a headlight cleaning system, which cover covers an opening in a vehicle front-end part and at the same time bears the headlight cleaning system, can be positioned precisely via latching mounts on the vehicle front-end part and latching lugs on the opposite cover. The effect achieved by this is that the cover, when retracted from an operative position into an inoperative position in a stamped formation, is arranged in a precise gap.

  • Patent number: 7891682
Abstract: A motor vehicle has a rear axle cross member, from which two diagonal struts project forward in a V-shape, which diagonal struts are connected with their front end in each case to a vehicle longitudinal member. Here, it is important that an annular, closed stiffening structure is provided behind the rear axle cross member as viewed in the direction of travel. The stiffening structure is supported with its front end on the rear axle cross member and with its rear end, via struts which project rearward in a V-shape, on rear vehicle longitudinal members.

  • Patent number: 7891727
Abstract: A configuration is provided for the handling and/or processing of a vehicle cowling part together with an add-on part. The parts are coordinated with each other prior to the handling and/or processing and temporarily fixed at a distance from each other by a fastening device and then can be handled and/or processed together, and after the handling and/or processing they are fixed onto each other in the final position. For quick and easy temporary fixation and final fixation, in which no additional securing aids are required, it is proposed that the fastening device is configured as a snap connection with a temporary fixation and a final fixation and makes a single piece with the vehicle cowling part and/or the add-on part.

  • Patent number: 7874150
Abstract: An exhaust system has an exhaust tailpipe cover provided in an outlet region and, on the inside, contains inner exhaust pipes which are disposed spaced apart from the exhaust tailpipe cover by a passage. The passage in the exhaust tailpipe cover results in the exhaust tailpipe cover being exposed to as little thermal loading as possible and avoids transmitting heat to a surrounding vehicle rear part, in particular made of plastic.

  • Patent number: 7871118
Abstract: A body-side tie-up point for a drive of a lid for a body aperture of a vehicle. The tie-up point has an inner reinforcing plate which is fastened on the outside to a sealing duct laterally adjacent to the body aperture, and an outer reinforcing plate which is fastened to the inner reinforcing plate on a side facing away from the sealing duct. A strengthening element is provided which bears against the sealing duct and the inner reinforcing plate in a contact zone on a side facing away from the inner reinforcing plate. The outer reinforcing plate directly or indirectly supports the strengthening element in a region spaced apart from the contact zone.

  • Patent number: 7871107
Abstract: A rollover protection device is disposed behind the vehicle seats of a motor vehicle, in particular a convertible with a convertible top, and has at least one rollover protection cassette containing a rollbar. It is important here that the at least one rollover protection cassette or a housing of the same is a supporting component of a stiffening support which is of multi-part construction and extends in the transverse direction of the vehicle.

  • Patent number: 7863846
Abstract: A control device is provided for an assembly of a motor vehicle body, which assembly can be moved between at least two positions, specifically at least between a position retracted to the maximum extent and a position deployed to the maximum extent, in particular a spoiler. The control device contains a first sensor which transmits a signal to an evaluation device, which determines the position of the assembly from the signal of the first sensor, in dependence on the rotational speed of a motor which serves to move the assembly, and a second sensor which monitors a deployed position of the assembly and transmits a corresponding signal to the evaluation device. The evaluation device corrects the signal provided by the first sensor when the assembly is at least temporarily located in the position monitored by the second sensor and the signal provided by the first sensor is outside a tolerance range.

  • Patent number: 7849621
Abstract: A fastening device for fastening an accessory to a body part. The fastening device has a support element and a holding element. The support element is mounted to the body part from an exposed side and the holding element is mounted from a hidden side. The holding element has undercut elements via which it reaches from the hidden side through corresponding openings in the body part and reaches behind holding contours formed on the body part such that it is automatically fixed on the body part.

  • Patent number: 7837224
Abstract: A motor vehicle has a head-protecting side airbag disposed in a region of a lateral roof strut. The airbag is covered by a panel which can be pierced by the side airbag when the need arises. The panel merges laterally into a headliner which covers the vehicle roof on the inside facing the passenger compartment. It is essential for the invention that at least one fastening assembly is provided which is arranged at the transition of the panel to the headliner and fixes both the panel and the headliner to the roof strut.

  • Patent number: 7815022
Abstract: In order to avoid oscillations and brake screeching associated with such oscillations, a brake caliper is provided with a reinforcing element. The reinforcing element is formed with a C-shaped profile element that is connected to the brake caliper on the underside of the housing of said brake caliper. The reinforcing element can also be configured in order to hold the brake pads and linings and therefore relieve the housing of the braking torque.
