Abstract: A seat for a transportation vehicle has a rigid seat cushion structure and a rigid seat back structure. The seat back structure has two rigid side parts and upper and lower crosspieces connecting the side parts. The upper crosspiece connects the two side parts to each other in the region of their upper ends, and the lower crosspiece connects the two side parts at a distance from the lower ends. The lower crosspiece is above that region of the rear part that supports the posterior of the occupant. The arrangement of the lower rigid crosspiece holds the posterior of the occupant between the lower crosspiece and the seat cushion structure. Thus, the occupant's back and head are not moved up, in particular are not moved beyond the region of the head restraint of the rear part.

Abstract: A multiple dose syringe has a first valve defining a first valve opening pressure and a second valve defining a second valve opening pressure. A storage chamber in fluid communication with the second valve stores multiple doses of a substance therein and includes an outlet for dispensing multiple doses of the stored substance therethrough. A compression surface is movable between first and second positions and defines a compression chamber between the compression surface and the first valve. Movement of the compression surface in a direction from the first position toward the second position dispenses substance in the compression chamber through the first valve and out of the syringe. Movement of the compression surface in a direction from the second position toward the first position causes substance to flow from the storage chamber through the second valve and into the compression chamber.

Abstract: A bristle configuration providing enhanced cleaning of teeth. Abstract: A thermographic test method locally resolves detection and identification of defects near the surface in a test object. A surface area of the test object is heated up. A series of thermographic images following one after another at a time interval is recorded within a heat propagation phase, each image representing a local temperature distribution in a surface region of the test object recorded by the image. Positionally correctly assigned temperature profiles are determined from the images, each positionally correctly assigned temperature profile being assigned to the same measuring region of the test object surface. Variations over time of temperature values are determined from the temperature profiles for a large number of measuring positions of the measuring region. These variations are evaluated on the basis of at least one evaluation criterion indicative of the heat flow in the measuring region.
