Abstract: A transverse or oblique link is provided for a front vehicle axle. The link contains a first and a second link arm, the first link arm has a deformation section situated at a front in the direction of travel and a section situated behind it in the direction of travel. Furthermore, the first link arm is configured in such a manner that, in an accident, it is deformed in an energy-absorbing manner predominantly in its deformation section. In order to force a deformation in the deformation section, the flexural rigidity of the section about a bending axis running in the transverse direction of the vehicle is increased in comparison to the flexural rigidity of the deformation section. Upon contact with a curb, the two sections can be deformed in an energy-absorbing manner.

Abstract: A scale and a position-measuring device include the shifting of reference markings in graduation tracks, offset transversely with respect to the measuring direction, by fractions of the interval of the reference markings within a graduation track. It is thus possible to eliminate, or at least to markedly reduce, negative effects of the disturbance of the periodicity of a graduation track by the reference markings.
Abstract: A brake caliper for a disk brake system of a motor vehicle, has a caliper body which is cast from a light metal alloy or from light metal, with a skeleton structure arranged inside the caliper body. The material of the skeleton structure has a higher modulus of elasticity than the material of the caliper body. The skeleton structure is cast into the caliper body so that the caliper body encases the skeleton structure.

Abstract: A supporting device supports a cockpit, in particular a control panel, on a central tunnel of a motor vehicle. The supporting device has an X-shaped configuration with two arms which carry the cockpit and two legs which are supported on the central tunnel. The tendency of the cockpit to vibrate is minimized precisely because the central tunnel is connected to the cockpit by the X-shaped support.

Abstract: An inner and an outer spring plate are disposed, in a radially spaced relationship from one another, on a spring strut cylinder. In a first springing position (normal position), the helical spring is supported with a turn region of small diameter against the inner spring plate. In a second springing position (sports position) of the helical spring, the latter is supported with a turn region of larger diameter against the outer spring plate.

Abstract: A method for treating crude gas, in particular biogas, containing methane and carbon dioxide, in order to produce methane, and a plant suitable for carrying out the method. The method is characterized by improved profitability, produces high-purity methane of over 99.5% by volume, and at the same time distinctly lowers energy consumption for regenerating the washing solution. The method includes the following steps: (a) subjecting the crude gas under normal pressure or slight negative pressure to a one-stage or multiple-stage washing process with an amine-containing washing solution having an amine concentration of at least 15% at temperatures of up to 100° C., thereby forming a pure gas stream of methane and water, from which water is separated by subsequent cooling and condensation; (b) compressing the washing solution containing CO2 and sulfur compounds obtained after step (a) to a reaction pressure of at least 4 bar, heating the washing solution to a temperature of more than 120° C.
Abstract: A system architecture for a motor vehicle has a control unit for identifying an authorized user and a gateway control unit for enabling at least one further data bus, and control units arranged on the at least one further data bus, following the identification of an authorized user. An external diagnostic interface contains a further identification unit and it is enabled and the data in the at least one further data bus system are thus accessible only after an authorized diagnostic tester has been identified.

Abstract: In a preassembly position, the hinge elements of the two hinges of the vehicle door are each connected fixedly to the vehicle door via a pivotable hinge element of the two hinges. The vehicle door is held in position with precise gap positioning in a side wall door cutout of the vehicle body. In a final assembly position, the positionally fixed hinge element of the two hinges is connected to outer and inner wall parts of a vehicle pillar of the vehicle body via fastening screws and via a torque strut.

Abstract: For certain medical images, it is important and/or required that a user view all of a medical image at full resolution so that minute, but important, indicia in the medical image are not missed. A computing systems monitor the portions of the medical image that are displayed on the display device, notates those portions that have been displayed at full resolution (or other user-defined display parameters), and provides the user with information indicating portions that have not been viewed at full resolution and/or provides information indicating for which images of a multiple image examination full pixel display has been accomplished. The process reduces the possibility of missing an abnormality in a medical image due to the viewer not viewing a portion of the image at full resolution or using other user-defined display parameters.
Abstract: A length measuring arrangement for measuring the relative position of two objects, the length measuring arrangement including a housing made of a non-magnetic material and longitudinally extending in a measuring direction. The length measuring arrangement including a scale in the housing, the scale having a measuring graduation, a first guide face and a second guide face which extends perpendicular to the first guide face. A mounting piece attachable to one of the two objects rigidly in the measuring direction and resiliently transversely to the measuring direction. The length measuring arrangement including a scanning carriage that scans the measuring graduation, wherein the scanning carriage is coupled to the mounting piece rigidly in the measuring direction and resiliently transversely to the measuring direction, and the scanning carriage is linearly guided in the measuring direction on the first and second guide faces and is pressed against the first and second guide faces.
Abstract: A cross member, in particular a cockpit cross member, for a motor vehicle, is connectable at both ends to a vehicle body and supportable in a central area via a supporting element on a longitudinal transmission tunnel of the vehicle. The cross member has at least two cross member elements which are joined together at the end in a central area of the cross member via a connecting member. The connecting member allows compensation of tolerance in the transverse direction of the vehicle. The cross member is connected to the supporting element via the connecting member, the connection between the connecting member and the supporting element allowing compensation of tolerance in the z direction.
