Abstract: A method for determining a geographical location of a vehicle (10) includes using a camera/sensor device (20) of the vehicle for recording (S10) first image and sensor data (30) from surroundings of the vehicle (10) while the vehicle (10) is traveling a route. The first image and sensor data (30) are assigned geographical coordinates and are sent to a data evaluation unit (50) for creating a digital map. The method continues by using a second camera and sensor device (20) for recording (S40) second image and sensor data (30) from surroundings while the vehicle (10) is traveling the same route and sending (S50) the recorded second image and sensor data (30) to the data evaluation unit (50). The data evaluation unit (50) compares (S60) the recorded second image and sensor data (30) with the digital map of the surroundings (70) and determines (S70) a position of the vehicle (10).

Abstract: A method for charging a traction battery (1) of an electric vehicle b a charging column (2) is provided. The traction battery (1) can be charged at two or more different charging voltage levels. After the electric vehicle has been connected to the charging column (2), data is exchanged between a battery management system (3) of the electric vehicle and the charging column (2) to negotiate a charging voltage. For this purpose, a maximum permissible total charging voltage is communicated to the charging station (2) by the battery management system (3) via a battery handshake message (BHM) (4). The communicated maximum permissible total charging voltage is lower than a highest charging voltage level of the traction battery (1) by a defined measure.

Abstract: A vehicle substructure for a motor vehicle driven at least semi-electrically including at least one chassis auxiliary frame for a rear axle chassis and a battery system arranged in a forward travel direction in front of the chassis auxiliary frame with a battery support structure for receiving at least one battery device. The battery support structure is connected to the body. A mounting carrier serves to transfer a load from the chassis auxiliary frame into the battery support structure in a crash event. The mounting carrier is suitable and configured so as to fixedly connect the chassis auxiliary frame and the battery system to one another prior to being installed in the vehicle, thereby providing a pre-mounting assembly. The mounting carrier can be downwardly disengaged from the chassis auxiliary frame and the battery system after the marriage has been established.
