Abstract: An apparatus and method for providing patient access in a warming therapy device (e.g., incubator, warmer, etc.) is described. In one exemplary embodiment, the apparatus includes a mattress tray assembly having at least two axes of rotation, and in another exemplary embodiment, the apparatus includes a mattress tray assembly having at least four axes of rotation.
Abstract: A system includes a low pass-filter and a Savitzky-Golay filter. The low-pass filter receives and processes a first electrocardiogram signal. The filter removes at least the high frequency components of the first electrocardiogram signal. The Savitzky-Golay filter estimates a baseline variation of the first electrocardiogram signal from the filtered first electrocardiogram signal. Related apparatus, systems, techniques and articles are also described.
Abstract: Disclosed is a method for implementation by one or more data processors including acquiring noninvasive blood pressure data using an inflatable cuff applied around a portion of a patient by inflating the cuff to a pressure above the patient's systolic blood pressure, and detecting a first oscillation pulse within the cuff during a deflation step. The method also includes acquiring electrocardiogram (ECG) data from the patient by detecting an ECG waveform corresponding to a first heartbeat using an ECG lead coupled to the patient, classifying the ECG waveform as normal or not normal, aligning, the first oscillation pulse to the ECG waveform corresponding to the first heartbeat if the ECG waveform is classified normal or rejecting the first oscillation pulse if the ECG waveform is classified not normal, and calculating the blood pressure using the aligned first oscillation pulse. Related apparatus, systems, methods and/or articles are described.

Abstract: Measured values of ST segment deviations obtained from a multi-lead ECG are transformed and displayed on a polar ST Circle Display, with zero ST deviation values located on a circle having a diameter that is greater than a maximum absolute ST segment deviation value obtained for any measured or derived lead. An ischemic condition and a location of the ischemia can thereby be easily determined.
Abstract: An apparatus and method for controlling a warming therapy device (e.g., incubator, warmer, etc.) is described. In one exemplary embodiment, the apparatus includes a Graphical User Interface (GUI) coupled to the warming therapy device for monitoring patient medical information, and for controlling various aspects of the warming therapy device accordingly.

Abstract: A tilt and swivel mounting device may include a base member, a first disc in contact with the base member, and a second disc in contact with the first disc. The first disc may be restricted to moving substantially in a first direction relative to the base member. The second disc may be restricted to moving substantially in a second direction, wherein the second direction is substantially perpendicular to the first direction relative to the first disc. A cover may be attached to the base member for housing the first and second discs in an assembly compressible in response to a user rotatable control. A support base may be attached to an axial shaft, and the axial shaft may be axially coupled to the assembly.

Abstract: An apparatus and method for providing patient access in a warming therapy device (e.g., incubator, warmer, etc.) is described. In one exemplary embodiment, the apparatus comprises a hood with a retractable top member, which permits access to a patient disposed within the warming therapy device without lowering or removal of one or more sidewalls of the hood.
Abstract: An apparatus and method for performing warming therapy is described. In one exemplary embodiment, the apparatus includes a base for supporting a medical patient and a duct cover removably coupled to the base. The duct cover may include first and second portions which cooperate with one another to form an air flow trench between a humidifier module and a fan unit. The duct cover operates to direct humidified air from the humidifier module directly to the fan unit, so that excess moisture around the apparatus is minimized.
