Abstract: An oven for use in an aircraft galley, comprising an inner cavity configured to heat one or more food items, the inner cavity comprising an air outlet configured to allow a flow of air and steam to escape the inner cavity. The oven comprises an exhaust conduit connected, at a first end, to the air outlet external to the inner cavity and configured to channel the flow of air and steam leaving the inner cavity via the air outlet. The oven further comprises a cyclone steam separator configured to reduce the water and/or water vapor content of a flow of moist air flowing through it, the cyclone steam separator comprising a cyclone steam separator inlet and a cyclone steam separator outlet.
Abstract: A system to distribute air across a lavatory floor is disclosed herein. The system includes a dryer unit and at least one sensor in an aircraft lavatory coupled to a locking mechanism of the aircraft lavatory responsive to an action comprising an actuation of a slide switch to open the locking mechanism of a door of the aircraft lavatory wherein the dryer unit is electronically coupled to the at least one sensor. In response to a detection by at least one sensor of the actuation of the slide switch to open the locking mechanism of the door of the aircraft lavatory, the dryer unit is configured to receive a command from a processor communicatively coupled to the at least one sensor to cause the dryer unit to be activated.
Abstract: A flush valve includes a housing having a first end and a second end, a piston stem extending between the first end and the second end, a piston stem fore end coupled to the piston stem, a first O-ring and a second O-ring defining a control chamber therebetween, and a solenoid valve in fluid communication with the control chamber. The piston stem fore end is positioned toward the second end when in a closed position. In an energized state, the solenoid valve charges a pressurized gas into the control chamber, pushing the piston stem toward the first end and into an open position.
Abstract: An overhead stowage bin includes a ceiling panel, a back panel, a lower panel, and a plurality of side panels, a cabin door, a net, and a locking mechanism. The ceiling panel, the back panel, the lower panel, and the plurality of side panels defining a volume configured to stow luggage. The cabin door is configured to enclose the volume and configured to rotate about a hinge disposed on the ceiling panel. The net is configured to extend along the cabin door in an extended position. The locking mechanism is configured to lock the net to the cabin door.
Abstract: An audio processor for reproducing multichannel audio has a normal layer processing and a lower layer processing. The normal layer processing is configured for processing one or more channels of the object-specific audio or the multichannel audio belonging to a normal layer. The lower layer processing is configured for processing at least one channel or more channels of the object-specific audio or the multichannel audio belonging to a lower layer. The lower layer processing is configured to feed at least one signal belonging to the one channel or the more channels of the lower layer to a subwoofer output.

Abstract: A tubular heat exchanger, with a thermoelectric power generation function, includes: a thermoelectric power generation module 2 mounted on an outer circumferential surface of the heat exhaust tube 1; and a cooling pipe 3 mounted on an outer circumferential surface of the thermoelectric power generation module 2. The cooling pipe 3 is for allowing a cooling material to flow therethrough. The thermoelectric power generation module 2 performs thermoelectric power generation by using the outer circumferential surface of the heat exhaust tube 1 as a high-temperature source and using the inner circumferential surface of the cooling pipe 3 as a low-temperature source. The cooling pipe 3 is in tight attachment to the outer circumferential surface of the thermoelectric power generation module 2.
Abstract: An electrophoretic display includes an electrophoretic medium having a non-polar fluid and two sets of charged pigment particles dispersed in the non-polar fluid and movable through the non-polar fluid under influence of an electric field. The two sets of charged pigment particles have different optical characteristics from each other. The display also includes a light-transmissive electrode on one side of the electrophoretic medium, a rear electrode on an opposite side of the electrophoretic medium, and a dielectric layer having a dielectric constant greater than 5 between the electrophoretic medium and the light-transmissive electrode or between the electrophoretic medium and the rear electrode configured to reduce electrode electrochemical degradation and buildup of remnant voltages in the display.
