The radiation detector includes a plurality of rows of image cells (5) with respective pluralities of image cells (5) disposed one after the other and respective signal outputs (6). The radiation to be detected generates signal charge carriers in the individual image cells (5), the charge carriers being transported along the rows of image cells to the respective signal output (6). A plurality of output amplifiers (7) are connected in parallel to one of the signal outputs each of the individual image cell columns and amplify the signal charge carriers. The invention is characterized in that the output amplifiers (7) include respective avalanche amplifiers (8).

Abstract: The invention relates to a method for exchanging a 3D view between a first and a second user having both a piece of software for creating 3D views. A view is created by the first user. This view comprises an encrypted object, the first user being licensed for the encrypted object. This view is stored in a file by the first user. The encrypted object is encrypted and the result of this encryption is stored as encrypted data in the file. According to the invention, non-encrypted data defining the encrypted object is stored in the file in parallel to the encrypted data relating to the encrypted object. This non-encrypted data can be read by the second user, so that the second user can see the encrypted object if he has acquired a license for this object, or a basic representation of the encrypted object if he has not acquired a license.

Abstract: A yarn, fabric, and garment suitable for use in arc and flame protection comprising aramid fiber and modacrylic fiber wherein the modacrylic fiber has less than 1.5 percent antimony and is preferably antimony-free. In one embodiment, the yarn, fabric, and/or garments consist essentially of (a) 50 to 80 weight percent meta-aramid fiber having a degree of crystallinity of at least 20%, (b) 10 to 40 weight percent modacrylic fiber that is antimony-free, (c) 5 to 20 weight percent para-aramid fiber, and (d) 1 to 3 weight percent antistatic fiber, based on the total weight of components (a), (b), (c) and (d). In some embodiments, garments made from the yarns provide thermal protection such that a wearer would experience less than a 65 percent predicted body burn when exposed to a flash fire exposure of 4 seconds per ASTM F1930, while maintaining a Category 2 arc rating per ASTM F1959 and NFPA 70E.
