Abstract: The invention pertains to a printing form and a process for preparing a polymeric printing form from a curable composition that includes a multifunctional urethane in a specified reactive group equivalent weight range, and an initiator. The process includes coating the curable composition onto a supporting substrate, such as a print cylinder, to form a layer, curing the layer with heat or by exposure to actinic radiation, and engraving the resulting cured layer to form at least one printing cell in the cured layer. The process prepares novel polymeric printing forms, particularly novel polymeric gravure printing forms, having a cured polymer-based composition layer that is engravable, resistant to solvent inks, and capable of printing gravure-quality images. The present invention shortens the time to prepare gravure printing cylinders and removes the need for and disposal of toxic heavy metals such as copper and chrome associated with conventional gravure print cylinder preparation.

Abstract: A fixed-shell aircraft passenger seat including a seat bottom pivotably attached to a seatback, a fixed-shell positioned behind the seatback, left and right spreaders guiding the seat bottom forward and lower as the seat bottom moves to a reclined sitting position, a linkage arm linked with movement of the seat bottom, and a locking gas spring arranged between the linkage arm and a fixed seat frame member for counterbalancing passenger weight to return the seat bottom to upright and prevent over acceleration into a cradle recline sitting position.
Abstract: A temperature control system employing a two-phase refrigerant and a compressor/condenser loop is disclosed wherein a two phase refrigerant condenses within the load, the system including a thermo-expansion valve that simultaneously allows refrigerant flow through the thermo-expansion valve and regulates a temperature of the refrigerant in its two phase state ahead of the thermo-expansion valve, and wherein a flow through the thermo-expansion valve occurs only after a pressure and temperature upstream of the thermo-expansion valve reaches a final temperature and pressure.
Abstract: The invention relates to an MRI apparatus for magnetic resonance imaging of a subject of investigation, comprising: a coil arrangement (1) for transmitting an excitation signal into the subject and for receiving a response signal from the subject; a high-power radio-frequency amplifier (4) for generating the excitation signal; and a low-noise amplifier (LNA) for amplifying the response signal. The invention provides a transmit/receive switch (5) which is alternatively operable in a transmit mode or in a receive mode. In the transmit mode, the transmit/receive switch (5) transmits the excitation signal to the coil arrangement (1) and protects the low-noise amplifier (LNA) from the outgoing excitation signal. In the receive mode, the transmit/receive switch (5) routes the in coming response signal to the low-noise amplifier (LNA).

Abstract: Compositions and methods are provided for genome modification of a target sequence in the genome of a plant or plant cell. The methods and compositions employ a guide RNA/Cas endonuclease system to provide an effective system for modifying or altering target sites within the genome of a plant, plant cell or seed. Also provided are compositions and methods employing a guide polynucleotide/Cas endonuclease system for genome modification of a nucleotide sequence in the genome of a cell or organism, for gene editing, and/or for inserting or deleting a polynucleotide of interest into or from the genome of a cell or organism. Once a genomic target site is identified, a variety of methods can be employed to further modify the target sites such that they contain a variety of polynucleotides of interest. Breeding methods and methods for selecting plants utilizing a two component RNA guide and Cas endonuclease system are also disclosed.
