Abstract: An electrophoretic display apparatus, adapted to be electrically connected with an external circuit, includes a driving array substrate, an electrophoretic display layer, and a first optical adhesive layer. The electrophoretic display layer includes a flexible substrate and a display medium layer. The flexible substrate has a configuration area and a bonding area. The external circuit is disposed between the flexible substrate and the driving array substrate. The external circuit is located in the bonding area and extends outside the driving array substrate. The display medium layer is disposed between the flexible substrate and the driving array substrate and located in the configuration area. The first optical adhesive layer is disposed between the display medium layer and the driving array substrate. A thickness of the external circuit is smaller than a sum of a thickness of the display medium layer and a thickness of the first optical adhesive layer.

This code is generated using encryption, authenticated cryptography and digital identities or certificates emitted in the standard of Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) by a reliable Certification Authority, providing to validate the code, with (online) or without connectivity (offline) to a data network, by one application installed, by a reading process, cryptographic validation and decryption, allowing to open the security code content. Optionally, it is possible to achieve the emitting of geopositioning and in its security code validation, with the end user identification.

Abstract: Polymer formulations including urethane acrylates, adhesion promoters, and conductive monomers. By selecting suitable conductive monomers, it is possible to achieve formulations having a volume resistivity from 106 to 1010 Ohm·cm after being conditioned for one week at 25° C. and 50% relative humidity. Such formulations are suitable for incorporation into electro-optic materials, such as electro-optic displays or variable transmission films, e.g., for architectural applications. In other embodiments, the formulations additionally include metal oxide nanoparticles to alter the refractive index and/or conductivity.

Abstract: A method of depleting a given analyte from a water source is provided. The method is applicable to water used in oil recovery, water used in natural gas recovery, the treatment of water wells, and for water used in hydraulic fluids for fracturing processes, such as water to be used in proppants or fracking fluids. The method involves depleting an analyte from a water source, said method comprising contacting a water source with a superparamagnetic or paramagnetic nanoparticle; complexing the analyte with the particle; and removing the analyte-particle complex by applying a magnetic field so as to provide a water source with depleted analyte content. The depleted water can then be pumped into one or more connecting injection well(s) in an oil field pushing the crude oil 10 towards one or more production well(s) thereby allowing for enhanced oil recovery from the production wells.
