Abstract: Method and system for managing advertising in program streams. Advertisement opportunities (avails) in a program stream may be divided into sections (subavails) with the goal of directing advertising at a particular target audience (group). A program stream is split into one or more sub-streams to produce additional advertising avail sections (subavails) able to be targeted to a subgroup of subscribers. Subavails may also refer to various advertisement opportunities in different presentation streams (sub-streams). Each sub-stream may be targeted at a subgroup of subscribers with demographic and product preference characteristics. By correlating the subscriber characteristics with advertisement parameters supplied by an advertiser, the system/method determines which advertisement is best to display in the one or more subavails. Accordingly, such a subavail, or group of subavails may be sold to an advertiser, e.g., via an auction.

Abstract: An electronic paper display device including an electronic paper display substrate and a power supply circuit is provided. An electronic paper display panel and a driving circuit are disposed on the electronic paper display substrate. The power supply circuit is electrically connected to the electronic paper display panel and the driving circuit. The power supply circuit is configured to output a first driving signal to the electronic paper display panel and output a voltage signal to the driving circuit. The power supply circuit includes a level shifter. The power supply circuit outputs a first driving signal to the electronic paper display panel by utilizing the level shifter. The driving circuit includes a source driver. The driving circuit outputs a second driving signal to the electronic paper display panel according to the voltage signal by utilizing the source driver.
Abstract: Compositions and methods comprising polynucleotides and polypeptides having meganuclease activity are provided. Further provided are nucleic acid constructs, yeast, plants, plant cells, explants, seeds and grain having the meganuclease sequences. Various methods of employing the meganuclease sequences are provided. Such methods include, for example, methods for producing a meganuclease with increased activity at a wide range of temperatures, methods for producing a yeast, plant, plant cell, explant or seed comprising a meganuclease with increased activity.

Abstract: A wall mounted stowage compartment for a passenger cabin of an aircraft includes a housing having a rearwardly facing wall mounted to a forwardly facing interior monument wall. The stowage compartment is located under an aft most passenger seat adjacent to the forwardly facing interior monument wall. The stowage compartment includes a stowage compartment drawer, and a protective breathing equipment compartment is mounted to a side wall of the aircraft cabin monument, and includes a forwardly facing edge that follows a contour of the forwardly facing wall of the aircraft cabin monument extending from a forwardly facing recess to the floor of the cabin.
Abstract: A multilayer porous membrane comprising a porous membrane containing a polyolefin resin as a main component; and a porous layer containing an inorganic filler and a resin binder and laminated on at least one surface of the porous membrane; wherein the porous membrane has an average pore size d=0.035 to 0.060 ?m, a tortuosity ?a=1.1 to 1.7, and the number B of pores=100 to 500 pores/?m2, which are calculated by a gas-liquid method, and the porous membrane has a membrane thickness L=5 to 22 ?m.
Abstract: Ink jet printing can be used in the production of electro-optic displays for (a) forming a layer of a polymer-dispersed electrophoretic medium on a substrate; (b) forming a color electro-optic layer; (c) forming a color filter; and (d) printing electrodes and/or associated conductors on a layer of electro-optic material.
Abstract: A manually operated reflecting device includes a base, at least one rotary sleeve pivoted to the base, and a release module and an angle-adjustment module disposed between the first and second rotary sleeves and the base. The release module and the angle-adjustment module allow the base to be adjusted and fixed at a certain angle with respect to the first and second rotary sleeves. On the rotary sleeve is disposed a reflecting member. The rotary sleeve is rotated and fixed at a predetermined angle with respect to the base, so as to maintain the reflecting member at a best-view position.

Abstract: A flotation system includes one or more floatation modules, each having a first section and a second section, each having an internal core made of a buoyant material. The first section includes two end faces and a projection extending from one of the end faces. The projection has a contoured profile. The second section includes two end faces and a reciprocal recess in one of the end faces. The end faces of the first section engage the end faces of the second section such that the projection engages the reciprocal recess in a mating engagement. A stop collar may be disposed adjacent each end of the floatation module. The floatation system may be attached to a tubular string that is lowered into a marine riser to reduce a load applied to a rig disposed over the marine riser.
