Abstract: Compositions and methods comprising polynucleotides and polypeptides having meganuclease activity are provided. Further provided are nucleic acid constructs, yeast, plants, plant cells, explants, seeds and grain having the meganuclease sequences. Various methods of employing the meganuclease sequences are provided. Such methods include, for example, methods for producing a meganuclease with increased activity at a wide range of temperatures, methods for producing a yeast, plant, plant cell, explant or seed comprising a meganuclease with increased activity.

Abstract: A drive module that includes an electric motor, an input pinion driven by the electric motor, a transmission driven by the input pinion, a planetary differential assembly and first and second axle shafts. The transmission has a first transmission output member. The planetary differential assembly has an input ring gear, a first output sun gear and a second output sun gear. The first and second output sun gears have different pitch diameters, different modules and a common quantity of sun gear teeth. The planetary differential assembly is configured to provide a 50-50 torque split between the first and second output sun gears. Abstract: A self-contained breathing device for use in fighting fires comprising a hood for covering a wearer's head, a membrane for sealing the hood to create a breathing chamber inside the hood, and a source of oxygen disposed inside the hood. The source of oxygen is connected to the user by a conduit inside of the hood, and another conduit directs user-exhaled carbon dioxide to the source of oxygen. The breathing device includes a visual indicator inside of the hood that reacts to the presence of a gas within the hood and provides visual feedback to the user based on a quantity of the gas present in the hood.

Abstract: The present invention provides a method and system for securing mobile communications with a smartphone In a preferred embodiment of the present invention a secure method for controlling the microphones of the smartphone is provided. This method avoids that the phone can be exploited as a spy-phone, recording sounds and voices while in standby. In an embodiment the smartphone is hardened since the operating system is closed and no apps can be added or upgraded once the firmware is deployed. In an embodiment of the invention GPS data are secured in order to prevent unauthorized access to them. GPS data, similarly to audio ones, can be encrypted in kernel space restricting their access only to cryptographically trusted apps.

Abstract: An aircraft passenger seat swivel assembly for an aircraft seating unit that includes a pair of transversely spaced-apart base rails, each including fore and aft fittings for connecting the base rails to an aircraft deck. The base rails define a transversely-extending horizontal plane extending between the pair of base rails. A swivel assembly is mounted between the pair of base rails in the laterally-extending horizontal plane. The swivel assembly provides a low profile seat with a spar that forms a part of the swivel assembly and transfers loads from the seat efficiently to the aircraft deck. A slide assembly enables the seat occupant to slide the seat fore-and-aft and side-to-side independent of the rotation of the seat on the swivel.
Abstract: A premium class passenger suite that includes a main seat positioned in the suite together with separate bed. The bed has a flexible mattress of predetermined dimensions and is movable between a stowed position to one side of the main seat and a deployed position above and separate from the main seat. A drive apparatus is provided for driving the bed between the stowed and deployed positions. The main seat is configured to be movable between a seating position when the bed is stowed, and a stowed position with a lowered seat back when the bed is deployed for use.
