Abstract: The invention relates to a device which comprises a channel (1) carrying a flowable medium. The due operation and/or maintenance of the device is associated with the formation of inclusions (3) inside the channel (1) of a fluid or gas distinct from the aforementioned medium. The channel (1) is configured in such a manner that the inclusions are moved towards a channel exit (4) by capillary forces. The invention also relates to a method for removing inclusions (3) from corresponding devices.

Abstract: An anode rod is placed between two hooks fixed to an anode beam and onto which a connector bears, including two levers, two coaxial lateral rods and a screw that can pivot levers between a clamping position of the anode rod in contact with the anode beam and a release position. The geometry of at least one hook, a lever and/or a lateral rod and the material from which they are formed are such that the elastic deformation of the holding device with respect to the anode beam when the screw is tightened is sufficient. Thus, this device can compensate for a change in the position of the anode rod by elastic return towards its unstressed position, and thus continues to keep the anode rod firmly in contact with the anode beam.
Abstract: Disclosed is a photosensitive paste comprising a polymerizable monomer and a photopolymerization initiator, wherein the glass transition temperature of the polymerizable monomer is ?10° C. or less. The present paste may be used for creating a fine pattern and prevents residue from remaining in the area where paste should be removed.
Abstract: A process for producing microspheres was developed that provides microspheres that are swellable and degradable. The process is reliable and high yielding, and makes use of a low temperature azo initiator, a small molecule chlorinated solvent as the organic phase, and a heat treatment step, and is carried out in absence of a crosslinking agent. The microsphere preparation made using the process is particularly useful as a degradable embolic material.
Abstract: A pictorially searchable anatomical database with computer assisted mapping is presented. The pictorial portion of the database and the textual portion of the database are fully unified, i.e., all elements are “live” and visually navigating through one will instantaneously display the corresponding element of the other. A “standard reference” and unique visual keys are presented; selection of a structure of interest may be displayed both in the form of a conventional two-dimensional scan and a three-dimensional view of the structure of interest; all structures in both the 2-D and 3-D views may be interrogated. In addition, structures connected to the structure of interest may likewise be displayed in both the two- and the three-dimensional views.

Abstract: The disclosure provides an ink set comprising an ink jettable ink and an ink jettable fixer ink comprising: an aqueous colorant containing ink jettable ink; and a fixer ink comprising: (i) a multivalent metal salt, wherein the metal is selected from the group consisting of divalent metal ions, trivalent metal ions, and mixtures thereof; and (ii) a salt stable, water soluble, predominantly non-ionic, polymeric binder selected from the group consisting of a polyurethane comprising an ethylene oxide unit, and a methoxylated carboxylated polyallylamine; wherein the polymeric binder is substantially non-reactive with the colorant. The colorant comprises a dye, a self dispersed pigment or a pigment dispersion. These inks have enhanced coloristic and durability properties.
Abstract: There is provided a system, for simulating a heat and power supply facility, that is capable of easily constructing a heat and power supply facility, and that performs a simulation so as to approximate operating conditions including a load factor to an actual situation, by approximating, to a high accuracy, any item included in a total combined energy to a target value. A system configuration setting section (30) associates in advance the heat and power supply devices with each other and associates in advance the heat and power supply devices with the total combined energy, and selects any of the heat and power supply devices with an operation of an operating condition section, to thereby freely construct a system configuration of the heat and power supply facility in which the heat and power supply devices are associated with each other and the heat and power supply devices are associated with the total combined energy.
