  • Patent number: 7049392
Abstract: Polymeric compositions are provided comprising a first plurality of first monomeric units comprising an aromatic group with at least one substituent selected from alkyl, heteroalkyl, alkenyl, heteroalkenyl, alkynyl, heteroalkynyl, aryl, arylalkyl, heteroaryl, heteroarylalkyl, and amino, and a second plurality of second multi-functional monomeric units, wherein each multi-functional monomeric unit is capable of forming a branching point in the polymeric composition, thereby resulting in a branched material. Invention compositions therefore have an altered morphology relative to similar non-branched materials. When used to form an EL layer within an EL device, this altered morphology results in EL layers with improved efficiency, which in turn results in more efficient EL devices.

  • Patent number: 7048525
Abstract: A flow divider for use with fluent materials, such as raw sausage. The flow divider is a combination of at least two housing bodies with chambers defined by elliptical cylindrical sidewalls. Hubs with transverse vanes have necked-down regions at one end that are rotatably mounted in a similarly-sized aperture in an endwall of each housing body. The vanes' tips follow the elliptical cylindrical sidewalls in the manner of a vane pump. Sausage is conveyed from a conventional pump into the inlet of the flow divider, and flows through passages into inlet cavities, one inlet cavity per chamber, through the sub-chambers formed by the space between the vanes, and outlet cavities, one outlet cavity per chamber. The amount of sausage that flows through each chamber is equal due to the driving linkage between the hubs of each housing body.

  • Publication number: 20060103203
Abstract: A curved tracking platform that can be employed on a dynamic seat or divan such as those used in a business jet aircraft so that the seat can be comfortably used as a seat or in an extended bed position. When in the unextended seat position, the tracking platform allows the horizontal portion of the seat to support an occupant pitched back toward the vertical seat cushion at or about an angle of 6° to the horizontal. However, when the tracking platform is extended so that the seat can be used as a bed, the tracking platform travels along a curved frame rail profile which allows the platform to lay flat or substantially flat, thus allowing the vertical cushion to be placed next to the horizontal seat cushion so that they lie substantially flat to provide optimized comfort.

  • Patent number: 7047211
Abstract: An inventive procurement system includes a requisition system for special item purchases that are not found when searching a catalog database. Using the requisition system the buyer is provided with the desired item while the information associated with the requisition is selectively added to a rule-based knowledge base as well as to an item database. In a preferred embodiment a common language generator has been used to normalize free form data using pre-determined rules to place the data into a class/attribute/value relationship. By having the item requisition follow the same relationship, the pre-determined rules may be updated and the free-form data associated with the item properly coded for inclusion into an item database.
