Abstract: A headrest support assembly for a seat apparatus capable of positioning the headrest in a variety of positions, including a position that provides headrest support to raise the head while the seat is in a reclined position.
Abstract: An edge-addressable electronic display is provided including a row electrode in electric communication with a first termination and a column electrode in electric communication with a second termination. The row and column electrodes intersect at a pixel. Both the first and second terminations are disposed proximate to a first edge of the display, and as a result, the pixel may be addressed along the first edge of the display. The display may further include a removable driver circuitry for addressing the pixel in electric communication with at least one of the first and second terminations.

Abstract: This invention relates to a low-density polyethylene composition useful for coating polar substrates. This invention particularly relates to a low-density polyethylene composition useful for coating metal foils, wherein the composition comprises an ethylene/(meth)acrylic acid copolymer having a low acid content.
Abstract: High density polyethylene made using a cobalt or iron complex of a selected tridentate ligand as a polymerization catalyst may be made into packaging which has advantageous properties, especially lower permeation to ambient materials such as oxygen and/or water. The packaging, such as bottles, bags and rigid storage tanks, may be formed by conventional methods.
Abstract: A track fastener assembly for securing a seat or cargo apparatus to a floor track of a vehicle. The assembly includes a base with a longitudinal slot formed therein, and a ramp disposed in its upper surface near the forward end of the slot. A movable slide carrying locking studs runs in the longitudinal slot. A locking rod having a helical groove formed in its outer surface is operatively connected to the base and the slide. Rotation of the locking rod causes the slide to move axially along the longitudinal slot from an installation position near the aft end of the base to a locking position near the forward end of the base. As the slide moves to the locking position, the slide engages the ramp in the base, thereby deflecting the slide with the attached locking studs upwards and clamping the track fastener assembly to the track.
Abstract: Novel reactions used to prepare phosphole and bisphosphole compounds are detailed. Novel phosphole compounds and metal coordination compounds of phosphole and bisphosphole compounds are also provided. These metal coordination compounds are useful as catalysts for the polymerization or olefins with carbon monoxide and for the polymerization of acrylic monomers.

Abstract: The present invention provides a heat-sealable polyester composition having an amorphous processing window ranging from a Tg in the range of about 40° C. to about 70° C., to a Tcg in the range of about 70° C. to about 150° C. The composition preferably contains a mixture of poly(ethylene terephthalate) homopolymer or copolymer and poly(trimethylene terephthalate) homopolymer or copolymer, either as a physical blend or as a copolyester oligomer or polymer prepared from the respective monomers. The resulting composition is heat-sealable at low temperatures, retains barrier properties and is non-flavor-scalping.

Abstract: This invention relates to a process for producing 5-methyl-N-aryl-2-pyrrolidone and 5-methyl-N-cycloalkyl-2-pyrrolidone by reductive amination of levulinic acid or its derivatives with aryl amines, ammonia or ammonium hydroxide utilizing a metal catalyst, which is optionally supported.
Abstract: A system for identifying a ruminant, which is being milked. The system includes a transmitter attached to a hind leg of the ruminant and the transmitter transmits a predefined signal, which identifies the ruminant to which the transmitter is attached. The system includes at least one teat cup on which is attached an antenna to receive the signal with which to identify the animal. The teat cup is positionable on the ruminant's teat. A method for using the system is taught as is a teat cup having an antenna fixed thereon.

Abstract: Access privileges for a user are provided in a performance evaluation system by storing an organizational structure for an enterprise, a view and a class of services for the user. The organizational structure includes a plurality of levels and a plurality of members assigned to the levels. The view specifies the levels and the members of the organizational structure to which the user is allowed access. The class of services specify services of the performance evaluation system that the user is allowed to perform. The user has access privileges to perform services within the class of services for levels and members within the view.

Abstract: This invention pertains fasteners which are characterized by easy insertion and extraordinarily difficult separation of items that they attach together. This is achieved by a combination of snapping segments with an elastic body disposed at least under the head of the fastener. The snapping segments may comprise anti-opening and/or anti-sliding portions, which immensely increase the strength with which the fasteners hold the objects together. The elastic body in the vicinity of the bottom section of the fasteners also provides water and gas proof properties, as well as elimination of squeaking noises. Vehicles comprising objects connected together by the fastening devices described and claimed herein are part of the instant invention.

Abstract: A process for the production of HFC-227ea from HF and HFP is provided. This process takes advantage of an azeotropic composition of HF and HFC-227ea in order to produce HFC-227ea essentially free of HF and recycle unreacted HF back to the reactor. The recycle of said azeotropic composition, also allows the use of HFC-227ea as a diluent to aid in control of reactor temperature for a highly exothermic reaction.

Abstract: The present invention relates to refrigerant compositions comprising a fluorocarbon, an oxygenated lubricant, a non-oxygenated lubricant, and a compatibilizer. The present invention further relates to methods for replacing a chlorofluorocarbon and/or hydrochlorofluorocarbon and a non-oxygenated lubricant composition with a fluorocarbon and an oxygenated lubricant composition in a compression refrigeration system without flushing residual non-oxygenated lubricant from the system.
Abstract: A Spring fastener with critical configuration of the barbs, which allow the extraction of the fastener without destruction of the slot and/or the fastener. This critical configuration of the barbs allows spring fasteners to be used in slots of various widths and prevents rattling, which would take place in the case of spring fasteners of the present state of the art. The critical configuration is based on the special dimensions and special shape of the barbs with regard to the parts and the slots involved in assemblies of the spring fasteners and the parts. Assemblies of miscellaneous parts connected together by means of such spring fasteners, as well as vehicles comprising such assemblies may be made.
