  • Patent number: 9097745
Abstract: A corrosion detection apparatus for permanently and integrally monitoring a state of corrosion of a component is provided. The corrosion detection apparatus makes it possible to use the change in electrical conductivity to detect corrosion of a component to be monitored. A corrosion-sensitive bridging element that establishes an electrical connection between a first electrical line section and a second electrical line section of a sensor circuit is used to change certain electrical properties of the sensor circuit. On account of the corrosion-sensitive property of the bridging element, the latter changes its electrical conductivity when corrosion starts. This makes it possible to use the sensor circuit to detect corrosion of the bridging element and thus of the component to be monitored.

  • Patent number: 9052285
Abstract: A system and method for determining the pH value of a liquid. The system and method excite the liquid molecules in the liquid by light with a predetermined wavelength and an intensity component, transmitted through the liquid in a predetermined wavelength range, of the light used for excitation is captured. This intensity component is used to produce a wavelength/intensity absorption characteristic and this absorption characteristic is related to a reference absorption characteristic associated with a specific pH value of the liquid. • Patent number: 9014426
Abstract: Techniques for the detection of moving objects in a video image sequence are provided. Distinctive image variation points in a difference image are determined. An image variation threshold value is established and image variation points are determined as those points in the difference image in which the absolute image brightness value of which exceeds the image variation threshold value. The quality of the image variation points are determined based on at least one predetermined quality criterion. If the quality criterion is met, the determined image variation points determined are determined as the distinctive image variation points determined. Otherwise, the establishment of an image variation threshold value and determination of the quality of image variation points is repeated with a changed image variation threshold value.
