  • Patent number: 9114434
Abstract: An apparatus and method according to which a piece part is inspected and sorted. In several exemplary embodiments, the piece part is a post-tension concrete anchor. In an exemplary embodiment, the apparatus includes a reference component configured to engage the piece part by extending within an opening defined the piece part. The reference component extends within the opening by a first distance, the first distance being based on at least one dimension defined by the opening. A depth measurement device is configured to measure a second distance, which is a function of the first distance. A controller is configured to determine whether the second distance is within a predetermined range. If not, a bracket disengages the piece part from the reference component at a first location. If the second distance is within the predetermined range, the bracket disengages the piece part from the reference component at a second location.

  • Patent number: 7341288
Abstract: A restrained sleeve coupling assembly for interconnecting pipe sections includes a generally cylindrical sleeve body, a generally cylindrical adaptor body and opposed end rings which are sleeved over the respective pipe sections to be joined. The generally cylindrical sleeve body has opposed gasket engaging surfaces adjacent opposite ends of the sleeve body for receiving fluid sealing gaskets forcibly engaged with the sleeve body, the adaptor body and one of the opposed end rings. The adaptor body includes a gasket engaging surface for receiving a fluid sealing gasket forcibly engaged with the adaptor body and the other of the opposed end rings. The end rings include flanges for engagement with elongated tension bolt assemblies to secure the sleeve body, the adaptor body, the gaskets and the end rings in assembly with each other.

  • Patent number: 6209172
Abstract: A hinge connection between an access door and a panel, such as a utility meter box cover, is formed by opposed cylindrical hinge pins which are integrally cast as part of the access door, and spaced-apart channel-shaped recesses formed in bosses which are cast as part of the panel facing a side of the panel opposite a planar wall part of the panel, which wall part includes an opening for receiving the access door. The hinge pins are supported in the channel-shaped recesses and are retained therein by conventional hex head machine bolt and nut assemblies which project through respective bores in the panel or meter box cover and intersect the channel-shaped recesses. The bolt heads are disposed in elongated slots opening to the planar surface of the panel or meter box cover and having widths only slightly greater than the distance across the flats of the bolt heads, respectively.
