Abstract: A backup ring for a pipe joint restraint includes a continuous one piece ring member or opposed ring segments, both including multiple inside radii to provide a portion of the ring which may be secured to a pipe fitting and a portion of the ring which is adapted to provide clearance for reinforced areas of a pipe fitting, such as a fillet reinforcement at a branch portion of a tee fitting. The ring embodiments with multiple ring segments include opposed radially projecting ears with fastener receiving bores and radially projecting lugs adapted to provide for connecting the ring assembly to a second ring assembly or gland clamped to the pipe section which is to be restrained in connection with the pipe fitting to which the backup ring assembly is clamped. The circumferential extent of the ring segments is preferably less than 180.degree. to accommodate a range of pipe fitting diameters with a single size ring segment.
Abstract: A movable pouring basin including a funnel-type sprue for use with a casting machine is aligned between a source of molten casting material and the downsprues of molds on an assembly line moving beneath the source of molten casting material.
Abstract: A wedge assembly restraint, featuring clip stops and a flexible, resilient retainer clip, for restraining a wedge assembly in the clamping block of a pipe junction holder.

Abstract: A segmented retainer gland assembly for holding pipe joints and the like together, including at least two gland segments in the shape of a circular arc forming together a circular gland for securing around a circular pipe, each of the segments having end flanges projecting substantially perpendicular to one side face of the gland segment, a clamping bracket having an inside face provided with a recess sized and shaped to receive the two end segment end flanges when adjacent ends of the gland segments are positioned together, each of the clamping brackets and gland segments having bolt holes and each of the clamping brackets having corresponding bolt holes which align with the bolt holes in the gland segments when the segments are positioned together, and bolts and nuts for securing the clamping brackets on the gland segments to hold the segments together at the end flanges to form a circular gland when the flanges are assembled together.

Abstract: A limited torque bolt-nut assembly including a bolt shank having a threaded first end portion and a non-threaded second end portion, a secondary drive head on the second shank portion and a primary shearable drive head on the secondary drive head, and a hollow nut secured over both drive heads and a portion of the non-threaded shank section. The hollow nut drives the primary drive head which rotates relative to the secondary drive head until the primary drive head shears off at a predetermined torque releasing the nut and primary drive head. The secondary drive head remains on the bolt shank for adjustment and removal of the bolt.
