Abstract: Disclosed herein are compositions and methods of mitigating scale in phosphoric acid and ammonium phosphate plants. Scale-mitigating compositions of the invention can be added to phosphoric acid before or during the concentration in the evaporator cycle of a phosphoric acid plant. The compositions retard the formation of scale on surfaces in contact with the phosphoric acid, and thus time between cleaning is extended and plant productivity increased. Further, the scale that forms is softer and more easily cleaned from surfaces, reducing non-operation time of the plant and/or evaporator. Methods of mitigating scale formation in phosphoric acid production and phosphoric acid handling plants are disclosed. In the methods, scales accumulate more slowly and are softer, more tractable, and more easily cleaned from surfaces to which they adhere.

Abstract: A method for printing certain information on labels using a smart device. Product-related information, expiration information, and batch information is stored on a server and provided to a smart device. One of the products or batches is selected using the smart device. Labels incorporating certain product-related information are generated and sent to a printer.
Abstract: The invention discloses cleaning compositions which employ a synergistic combination of a ester solvent, preferably a fatty acid methyl ester in combination with one or more linear alkyl amines. The alkyl amines act as to remove and suspend organic oils which have been burnt or adhered to a surface with heat and may even be used alone as a soil removal agent. The cleaning compositions have particular use in cleaning of distillation towers associated with biofuel, and vegetable oil refining, but also find use in cleaning ovens, food cooking surfaces and even dry cleaning.

Abstract: Dispensing systems utilize shaped cartridges to dispense one or more different types of chemical product concentrates. The chemical product concentrates may include, for example, tablets, capsules, encapsulated pellets or loose powders, or any other unit dose form factor. The chemical product concentrates may also include loose pellets or loose powders, or any other form of chemical product concentrate. The chemical product concentrates are dispensed from a plurality of shaped dispensing cartridges having different geometrically shaped cross-sections. Each cross-sectional shape may correspond to a different type of chemical product concentrate. Dispensing units include one or more shaped receptacles, each having a different geometrically shaped cross-section sized to receive a geometrically compatible one of the shaped dispensing cartridges. The dispensing units may further include shaped dispensing fitments sized to receive a geometrically compatible neck of a product container.

Abstract: A method for the reduction and prevention of mercury emissions into the environment from combusted fossil fuels or off-gases having mercury with the use of hypoiodite is disclosed. The hypoiodite is used for the capture of mercury from the resulting flue gases using a flue gas desulfurization system or scrubber. The method uses hypoiodite in conjunction with a scrubber to capture mercury and lower its emission and/or re-emission with stack gases. The method allows the use of coal as a cleaner and environmentally friendlier fuel source as well as capturing mercury from other processing systems.

Abstract: A material supply assembly includes a valve assembly having an outer valve member and an inner valve member rotatable relative to the outer valve member. A base assembly includes an base structure and an actuator. An engagement structure is operative between the outer valve member and the actuator to prevent relative movement between the outer valve member and the actuator. A locking structure is operative between the inner valve member and the base structure to prevent relative movement between the inner valve member and the base structure. Movement of the actuator relative to the base structure moves the outer valve member relative to the inner valve member to operate the valve assembly.
